Hey guys <3 Im just wondering as ive only just started and am wondering whether the rapid weight loss has caused anyone to have loads of excess skin? Thats my biggest fear atm. Any ideas on how to stop this from happening maybe? x

Hello and happy new year :)

I lost 10 stone with LL in 2011/12 and found that brushing my skin (while body) with a dry bath brush and applying a firming moisturiser helped to keep skin taught - and I used Bio oil in my bath which is meant to be clinically proven to help with stretch marks.

Your skin does catch up eventually, I found. And drinking lots if water help keep skin elastic.

Hope that helps!!

*whole body - not "while body" :/

Happy New Year to you too!.. Wow 10 stone, what a milestone. Did you use something firming like cocoa butter? I must say its quite relieving to know I wont look like a deflated balloon once i shed the weight! x

I think a lot depends on your age. The younger you are the more likely the skin will adjust and shrink with you.
Some bits - upper arms for example, tend not to have the elasticity that is required. An abdominal 'apron' often persists after a big weight loss too. Magic knickers will help!

I suppose there are two things - first lose weight as young as possible and consider the alternative - stay fat? The latter is not an option.
Good luck
