Please help !

It's seems that on this diet, that after 3 weeks I need to have a week off the diet then back on it.

I don't feel like doing this, do I have to?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi louty!

Because Exante does not have any form of counsellor or supervision, they have to recommend that you up your calories after 3 full weeks on their total solution plan. It is not a complete week off plan, but is just one of their higher calorie plans; you still should aim for low carb and high protein.

You don't have to add a lot, just a minimum of 201kcals worth of food or you can have that allowance in the form of milk - perhaps in tea or coffee if you drink it.

If you are adamant you don't want to add conventional food, maybe have an extra pack for the week?

It is totally up to you to decide what you want to do, some people skip it and that works for them; others find it can help boost their losses for the following week, like a jump start.

The main thing is that you make the plan work for you and I wish you the best of luck in your weight loss. :)

Thanks SherdanLM91.

Just I seem very focused with what I'm doing at the moment and if I introduce food I might think then I can cheat.

I'll be adding food next week, as exante recommends. The important thing for best results is to keep the extra meal low-carb. They give examples on the website. Low carb and 200 calories. I might make an omelette with a sprinkling of cheese, or even fry-up a bit of quorn with green veg. We shall see. This used to be the norm on Cambridge Diet and it sometimes boosted losses for the week after! It also, I suspect, helps to protect the metabolism. Low carb protects your ketosis! Good luck x

When I did it in 2010, it was week 5 or 6 you added it I think. I am think it may have been totally low cal/low carb food week. It is much more controlled now x
