Simple Solutions First full day.

Well here goes, there is just under 1 year and 2 months until my wedding day, I am refusing to walk down the aisle as a larger bride. I have tried slimming world before (several times in fact) I have lost a stone on there and then not been able to maintain the meetings etc with my busy lifestyle. So after talking to a friend who has lost three stone on the Cambridge plan I started the search for something similar.

I am not a fan of extreme dieting as I am not 100% convinced that it will allow me to maintain afterwards (but who knows I may move on to the total solution closer to the wedding.)

So the simple solution it is, my lovely box of goodies arrived yesterday and my fiancée and I sat and looked through the surprisingly interesting food packs. We decided to start right there and then. I had the mushroom soup for lunch which was very creamy and surprisingly filling. Later in the afternoon I had a very watery chocolate shake.

Today is is our first full day following the plan, I have started the day with a banana shake which is very tasty, am looking forward to trying out my tomato and basil soup for lunch and hoping I don't get too hungry.

Will be back in a week to update how the week has been and if I have lost any weight. (Fingers crossed)

Good luck on your journey, I am awaiting my pack of goodies to arrive. Look forward to reading your losses.

Thanks Honeyz, well week one went ok. I have been off from work so managed to keep myself busy and drank water when I felt hungry, however first day back at work yesterday and lunch just did not fill me up. After having to pick up some potatoes in m n s on the way home I cheated and had some chocolate pretzals.

Now, neither I or my fiancée stuck to the plan completely as we had two nights where we were out in the evening. However getting the scales this morning I had lost 2lbs and my fiancée 4. So considering we didn't stick to the plan we still lost so happy with that. Here is to another week!

Well done for the losses, my goodies kinda arrived, no shakes in the box so Exante shipping out today/tomorrow so going to start on Monday, upping my water intake at the moment and trying to eat less. I have opted for not having a roll or sandwich for lunch but went for crackers instead and got my water next to me keep sipping at it.

Tomorrow I have a day off and its the last day of my daughters school holiday so have a mummy and daughter day, starting with our nails, spot of lunch and then retail therapy.

Look forward to hearing about your losses and hopefully I can post mine when I get my shakes.

Good luck pegs201!! Seems like a lots of exante people starting around the same time so it's the motivation we need! :)

Pegs - not that I'm advocating cheating... BUT if you do cheat pick a protein and maybe some green veg / salad....

So an egg and a slice of cucumber... It won't mess up your diet or knock you out of ketosis most of the time. Eating chocolate pretzel will probably knock you out of ketosis and make you hungry!

The first few days are hard - you may feel hungry. For me week 3 is usually a bad time too (no idea why)...

Maintenance is a nightmare for me but there are people out there who've cracked it. I'm not giving up though!

Also you've got a goal of your wedding. That's a great focus and hopefully if you remind yourself when you're feeling down it'll spur you on.

Good luck. :)

Yeah I agree with And, I've steered clear of anything sugary or carby, so when I need to eat "off-plan" I use south beach or atkins as a guideline... Hope that helps :)

Thank you for all your advice, well I stuck to plan this week so very disappointed when I stepped on the scales and saw that I had lost nothing. My fiancée has lost another 4lbs. I started my period yesterday and don't think I'm drinking enough water. I won't let this get me down and will continue this week. Hope everyone else is doing well.

TOTM is well known for water retention so don't feel too down!
Drink AT LEAST 2 litres a day. If you stick to it 100% you will lose weight. :)
