Hey!! Just wanted to find out who comes on here quite frequently, like every day? Seems a bit quiet in this section of the forum haha. I used to do SW so used to constant posting. Just want some buddies really! HI!!!! ;)

Hello!

It does seem quiet, doesn't it! I am not a regular poster (yet) but I have been on here every day this week so could be!

How is it going?

x

It used to be so busy. I wonder what happened. It's been quiet for about a year now I think.

Vicky - I'm on Day 4 of my low carb diet now, but this is my day one of Total solution - woke up with a bit of a headache, feeling a bit dizzy, prob just dehydrated, I didn't drink enough yest. Set myself today and tomorrow with no work or anything to help me get used to it. I'm still just in bed :p think I'll give myself a pamper later on... You've lost so much already from looking at your sig :) surely you're an expert? ;) How you finding it? xx

Let's make it busy again! We need all the help we can get!!

From your signature you sound so similar to me! xx

Much easier after the first few days! I do tend to wake up with a raging headache though so am bringing water to bed with me, because I think I must be dehydrated!

I lost 6 stone in 2009-2010 on Lighterlife, but have put 2 stone back on over the years :sigh: ... though I blame things like getting married, finishing my degree, stress of work and working with a very food orientated team for that! Need to get myself back to the gym and less in denial of what my clothes / scales are telling me!

I am certainly no expert. I have to say though it is SO much nicer this time because there is so much more choice! When I did LL we were allowed black tea / plain coffee or water flavourings only, no sneaky coke zero or cup of bouillon! And there was much less choice of packs, so it got very monotonous! I'm really liking the exante ones so far, which ones have you tried?

Good luck getting "in the zone" today / tomorrow! I did that too (started on a weekend), but I think it is actually easier to stick to at work because I am so busy!

Hope you're enjoying the sunshine! x

Life just gets in the way doesn't it. I lost all the weight on a mixture of exante, slimming world, god knows what else - but I got there. Then I started studying at 25, moved to london and the change in lifestyle just meant my weight crept up on me again. 3 years later, I'm heavier than when I started.

6 stone is amazing! You can definitely get the last bit off after doing that, I'm sure!!!

I too did exante when it was literally just shakes and soups. Hardly any variation at all. I got the bumper pack and I'm so impressed with all the variation. So far I've only tried 2 of the shakes, I haven't eaten anything yet today, holding out for as long as I can!! My body clock is messed up from working late nights so I'm always more hungry in the evenings.

I definitely think once I get past the initial week, keeping busy will be the key. Today, I have so little energy, or tolerance for others, that I'm sad to say, I won't be enjoying the sunshine, or much of a view beyond my room ;)

Have a great day - and keep going :D xx

Hey everyone! Biz this thread looks like such a good idea because although I'm on here every day I never know where to post / where people are on here! Day 7 today and finding it just as hard as yesterday :( when I feel stressed or bored all I can think of is food! I know I won't be the only one but I have got such a bad relationship with food! *sigh* I have drunk at LEAST 3 litres of water today! I can't get rid of the "i'm so hungry" nagging. I'm just here trying to work chugging water constantly... and trying to hold out for another couple of hours until my last meal today.

Have you tried the boullion stuff Becca? I just tried my first one and it filled me up for a little while :) I know what you mean tho, it's my first day on TS, I went to sainsburys and wanted to just gnaw on all the free samples they had at the end of nearly every aisle!!!!

Hi Biz, no I haven't... is that just that stock stuff? Haven't heard of it on Exante. I did however buy some mulled wine flavour drink mix from the Exante website. I don't think you're allowed it on TS though but thought if I got desperate for something other than water a tiny bit would be okay. I've always been a big water drinker anyway so just drinking water doesn't bore me.

I found out about it scanning through the old threads. Maybe it's not strictly allowed as I can't find it on the exante website. A lot of people say they rely on it to get them through though, it was just nice to have something warm and savoury :)

Hi all! Not a frequent poster but a frequent looker. Been on exante 36 days now. not 100% but mostly and I still find it hard and still constantly think of food! Continuing till 1st may then will either keep going or try a version of juddd using exante. Need to increase my exercise and stay positive....
Want to shift the weight as fast as possible and get back to a normal life again! Lol

Hi Tiggy, 36 days is amazing :D can't wait til I'm here telling the same tales. How much weight have you lost? And if not 100% are you still keeping low carb? :) Also, what's juddd? I'm prob being thick haha

WHOA!! Tiggywinkle well done! That must feel amazing to have got that far?!

18.5lbs lost so far. I have had a few days adding salad (mostly leaves), the odd fried egg. A night away where I had wine and ate well tho did try to keep low carb. The key is getting straight back to it the next day I guess and drinking lots of water!
Juddd is a bit like the 5:2 diet I guess. I don't know everything about it but u have one day fast next day eat normally. I am thinking I will do 3 fast days in a week like mon, wed, fri using exante on those days so 600 calories then the normal days just eat but try not to go above something like 2000 but also exercise those days. If you Google juddd u can find out a bit more and also there is a calculator thAt u can use to see how many calories u should aim for on the fast and normal days.

It does and it doesn't! Lol it's hard but I know it's even harder to keep the weight off once it's gone. It's nice feeling my clothes getting looser but I know I still have a bit to go yet. Just have to stay strong.

I know the feeling. It feels good when you keep going but it also seems like such a long time to keep going. To get to my ultimate goal I'd have to still being on Exante til the end of the year!

Amazing losses!! :D all that in 36 days?? That's exciting, and is making me happier today!!!

I think intermittent fasting is a really good idea and will prob move on to that as well (using extane) once I can't face 100% exante any more!! x

It does sound so hard when you look at how long it could take, I just keep telling myself that I've been pretty miserable since I got fatter like 2 years ago, so if it takes me 6 months or however long to get to being happy again, so be it! I try to look at it like a treatment for my happiness as well as my weight and health... (She says, just after she's eaten, prob won't be saying that in an hour) ;) Keep up the good work becca, you're inspiring me if nothing else :) x

Aww :) hopefully we can keep motivating each other on here!

I've had my last meal for today so I'm trying not to think of food.

It's so true what you said. I've been overweight since school and never happy about it. Sometimes when I'm making the meals I see them as medicine.. Weight loss medicine.. That tastes good. For when it gets boring. I tell myself look this is guaranteed to lose you 2-3lbs a week and is the easiest way. No exercising hours a week or calorie counting. All you have to do is have three of these a day and lots of water and let your body do it for you :)

I'm going to really try to stick it out for my 30 days and hopefully I'll see a difference and that'll inspire me for another 30!

Does anyone here now if I have to do that 'refeed' week? It says on the site to only do TS for 3 weeks then add 200cals low carb food/day for a week before carrying on. Thought id do that after the 30days

I personally think that 3 week refeed rule is what they have to say as they are not monitoring you in any way as with other diets that require you to have a consultant. I don't think it would do you any harm to go longer, but that is only my opinion obviously. I won't be doing that myself, I will probably more likely be having a low carb real food meal every couple of weeks to be able to still go to things i've already planned. So i guess that's kind of a mini refeed. I'm going to see my boyfriends family a week today so it's easier to say I'm low carbing, and eat at least something with them, than say i'm only having these weird powdered packet meals. haha. :)
