    Thinking about starting Exante

    Hi Girls,

I am thinking about trying the Exante Total Solution (TFR).

They are doing a promotional pack for £36.75 on the website at the moment which includes the following products:

    8 Soups

    • 3 x Thai Chicken Flavour Soups
    • 2 x Mushroom Soups
    • 2 x Tomato Soups
    • 1 x Vegetable Soups

    8 Shakes

    • 3 x Strawberry Flavour Shakes
    • 2 x Chocolate Flavour Shakes
    • 2 x Vanilla Flavour Shakes
    • 1 x Banana Flavour Shakes

    5 Bars

    • 2 x Nut, Raisin & Toffee Bars
    • 3 x Chocolate Orange Bars

Can I just ask what the products taste like?

I am currently doing Celebrity Slim and have lost 16 lbs in 8 weeks, but I feel like I need a boost. I am 12st 3 lbs and I need to get below that 12st barrier!

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Lisa
    Love from, Lisa

    Hi Lisa

I haven't tried CS, but I really like the Exante products. The only one I am not keen on myself is vanilla, but others like that one. All the others are great.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for replying, Sarah and Maya.

I'm still unsure about whether to buy the Promo pack and try it for a week. I wrote that post in a low moment when I wanted more significant weight loss! I thought if I do TFR for a week, that would give me a boost.

But I don't think I could live without solid food for that long! I admire people who can!

Still thinking about it! But thanks for the advice, girls!

Well done on your loss, Sarah P! I have read a lot of your posts on this forum and you're a star! Always there to offer advice!

Give the working solution a whirl. I have an evening meal and just don't have any starchy carbs. I am never hungry and really look forward to my evening meal. It also makes you really creative.

I am happy to start a thread showing the kind of things I eat if it's helpful?

Hey Maya, good luck with it. I hope you enjoy the same sort of success as I have. The first week is the toughest and after that, I have found it very easy to follow.

But Sarah, I am doing Celebrity Slim at the moment and I already have a low carb meal in the evening.

So I don't see much difference if I stay on CS or switch to Exante if I am having the low carb meal.

I was going to try the Total solution but, as I said, I am too chicken! I can't live without my solid food!

How long did you do Total solution for?

What is the weight loss like on Simple solution (with low carb meal)?

I am losing about 2 lbs per week on CS at the moment (when I am good and not on TOTM!) so would only switch if the weight loss is more significant really.

    I don't know....I'm so indecisive!!!!

Ah, I missed that point. I did 4 weeks on total and lost 25lbs, but I was just starting out and had a lot to lose. I lost 17lbs in the first two weeks and then 4lbs each week.

On working I am losing an average of 3.5lbs per week. Some weeks it's 2, some it's 4 and one was 7lbs for some reason! But averages out to 3.5 for me.

What's your cal count on CS?

We don't count kcals on CS, Sarah (which is what I love about it)!
I calculated it once and think it comes to about 1,200 kcals a day though....

It is a low - moderate carb diet so a typical day goes like this:

    Breakfast - 1 CS Shake / Bar / Soup
Mid-Morning Snack - 1/2 CS Bar or fruit or cheese etc
    Lunch - 1 CS Shake / Bar / Soup
Mid-Afternoon Snack - 1/2 CS Bar or fruit or cheese etc
Dinner - Low Carb meal (meat / fish / stir fry / vegetables etc)
Snack - fruit or other snack

3.5 lbs per week average is great! Somehow I don't think my body would let got of that amount of fat each week!

I am still dithering on whether to try Exante...maybe instead of the CS shakes, I can have the Exante shakes and still have my low carb meal.

Hmmm.....hmmmm.....I'm so silly and undecisive today!

You might not see that much of a difference then on Exante working if you do the 1000 cals plan.

    My day goes like this:

    B: Exante shake
    L: Exante soup
    D: Low carb meal
Snack: half a bar (you are supposed to have a full one) and sometimes a small piece of cheese to get my calcium.

I have 3 cups of tea a day with skimmed milk. I can have up to 1/2 a pint a day but go for the cheese instead.

You can also have one portion of fruit, but I have more veg on my dinner instead.

Think you're probably right, Sarah! I would probably see the same results on Exante as on CS - so there is no point in changing really.

Going to Frankie & Bennys for dinner tonight so having the night "off"! Not been near carbs for over 60 days now...so it will be a nice treat.

Hardest part will be waking up tomorrow and getting my head back into the diet...

hi I've just come across your posts. I have been thinking of giving either CD or something similar a go as I have 10 week until my holiday. I am terrible around food once I start I don't stop !! I live away out in the country so very difficult to find any consultants within a short drive. My nearest CD consultant is 35 miles away!! Can you tell me am I right in saying you can buy Exante online without the need to go weekly to a consultant or have I picked that up wrong from the website? Well done on you success Sarah P

    Hey Hunca,

I think Sarah is busy today with Easter celebrations, so hope you don't mind if I reply!

Yes, you can order as much as you like from the Exante website and you do not have to see a consultant if you don't want to.

I am doing Exante Total Solution at the moment and I am having 3 packs per day. My typical day goes like this:

    Breakfast: 1/2 Exante bar
    Lunch: Exante shake
    Mid-Afternoon Snack: 1/2 Exante bar
    Dinner: Exante soup
    Snack: fruit

Don't think you are supposed to have fruit on TS, but it hasn't caused me any problems.

Exante are doing a promotional pack at the moment. You get 21 products for just over £36. Normally this would cost £50 so it's a good deal.

I started Exante last week and managed to lose 6.5 lbs to get down to 11st 11.5 lbs which is my lowest adult weight.

I love the fact that Exante products do not contain any artificial colourings or preservatives. They taste yummy too.

I love all the shakes (vanilla is a little on the bland side but I don't mind it). I love the Mushroom and Thai Chicken soups. They are gorgeous! The bars taste really good too and they are big so you can split them up and eat them throughout the day.

Currently feeling a bit bad cos I cheated a bit before. I ate 2 atkins bars.
But hopefully this won't affect me weigh in on Friday too much if I stick to 3 packs for the rest of this week.

If you have any more questions, please fire away.

Sarah is now an Exante consultant, so she is the brains on this forum! She is also very inspirational having lost almost 4 stone!
    Love from, Lisa
