Hi

This is my first day of JUDDD and first DD. I have checked out how many cals it says on the web site and it gave me 635 for 20%. I had done really well, didn't have anything this morning just water and mint tea. Then I had a mug shot for 166 cals with a rice cake 26 cals. Then i had some melon for 98 cals.

So far so good, there is a treat table which today has been put next to me, I managed to resist until now and I have just had about 15 chocolate covered pretzels. I've had a look online and 1/3 of a pack is about 16 pretzel for 165 cals!!! With the tea I was going to have, a WW chilli with wedges for 245 cals, takes me to 694 cals for the day 29 over my 20% allowance.

So should I try to change my tea to compensate, or can I up the cal intake to my 25% allowance which is 794?

Will it matter if I don't have all the 794 can I have somewhere inbetween?

Is it a case of the less the better, so have my tea then nothing else if at all possible?

I did have a yogurt and strawberries for tonight but I can miss these out if it is better too?

Sorry for all the rambling, I have come from SW where one bad day ******* your whole week!!! Thank you in adviance for any replies.

Hi all, I've been following JUDDD since September when I switched over from Slim & Save. I absolutely love this WOE and I feel like it has totally changed my attitude towards food and dieting which is great, but I don't think I've been particularly honest with myself as I can see now that I am quite a bit heavier than I was when I started.

Me measurements haven't really altered enormously and I was taking this as all good, but I've just tried my student nurse uniform on and it's really tight

Next placement is in 3 weeks so at least I have time to make some changes before then.

The problem is that I'm clearly overdoing it on my UP days, DD's are fine so I know that's not the problem but I literally do just eat what I like on my UP's which is obviously not working as I must be going well over my calories.

So, I'm going to make some adjustments as of today and start calorie counting my UD as well as my DD. DD are always spot on under 500cal so now I just need for my UD to be around the 2000 mark and hopefully I'll be on track.

I'm also half way through the 30 day shred so will continue with that, as well as running 3x per week.

What I will say is that I think I've only gained a stone or so since I've started, which considering in the past I've had gains of 12lb over one weekend is really good for me. So that's a stone over 9 months which really isn't that bad considering.

Also I don't want anyone to read this and think that JUDDD doesn't work because I'm absolutely positive that it would if I were just to follow it properly instead of kidding myself!

So there's my confession, down in writing for all to see. Let's hope I can get it right this time :)

Hi All,

Hi All,

I have been doing SW for years on and off and it is just not working for me right now for whatever reason, no matter how much I stick to it I don't really seem to be loosing anything (scales or measurements!) and so then I inevitably fall off the wagon then get on it again and so on and so forth so I have decided to give the JUDDD a go after stumbling upon by accident and doing some reading up.

I have a few questions and I wonder if anyone can answer them for me :-

1) Is it best/better/more preferable for loss in the first 2 weeks to have "shakes" as recommended on the website? I have done some menus and can keep it under 500 cals with actual food which I would MUCH prefer to do, I hate shakes with a passion (this part is actually putting me off starting!)

2) Is doing a 4:3 ration going to make a big difference on Weigh Loss/Inch loss? I plan on doing Mon-Wed-Fri as DD and Tue-Thur-Sat-Sun as UD as I think this is realistically the only way I will stick to it as we are usually always out and about at a weekend having a "life" etc (like most people!) plus I do my running on Tues/Thurs and one weekend day so it fits in nicely doing that on my Up days

3) is exercising OK on a DD? Not excessive, but I run 3 times a week (doing the C25K) and on odd days in between I'm planning on WiFitting it at home for 30 mins - but not if It's going to have a negative effect or make me dizzy/sickly etc

4) Is it better to get the Resveratrol tabs - better as in, do they much much/any difference - I have seen they sell this as own brand in HB but I think they were still £16 odd a pot

5) How do you accurately count your calories - MyFitnessPal? I usually use this, however it seems to differ to other Info. For example an article on health.com listed 1 cup of broccoli as 31 cals but MFP listed it as 52 - now I would always use the higher ammount "just incase" but it is a big difference so could have such a negative affect with your DD - or is this why people generally use pre-packaged stuff so that calories are listed on the label!

Ok I'm done haha - thanks in advance to anyone who finished reading this and can answer my question!

Hi Everyone

My first posting on this forum so I'll give you a brief background. I've been doing Slim and Save for around 7 months or so with periods of general low carbing. When I've come off plan and returned to eating carbs, I've felt terrible - I've narrowed this down in the main to wheat based carbs, but also I can no longer tolerate the taste of many sugars. I'm researching how I can best maintain my losses by adopting a low carb lifestyle, but I would still like to shift a little more weight, another stone or perhaps two.

To acheive this I'm considering following a ketogenic plan in the main, but with 2 fasting days. Given the lack of hunger whilst in ketosis I think this will be fairly straightfoward to follow - I'm wondering if anyone else has followed this kind of plan, and if so, what do your fasting days look like, and have you had success with weight loss?

I'm keenest to develop a regular exercise habit to help tone the end results of rapid weight loss on S&S, which is why I don't want to stay with vlcd to target at this point. Any advice from others in a similar situation would be very much appreciated :)

I'm not keen on cooking at the best of times, and I'm thinking that on dds I'll be better not to linger in the kitchen too long. What ready meals or very quick fixes do people eat? Veggie or fish suggestions are especially welcome as I don't eat meat.

I think quorn cottage pie is fairly low in cals so that might be one option.

Hi all

I tried this way of eating back in October last year after coming off Slim and Save but failed miserably. I've also tried a couple of times since the New Year but again failed. It seems i can go for hours without food but as soon as i start eating i can't stop. So i'm wondering how many of you undergo a complete fast on your DD's? I think that might be easier for me as it means i don't have to think about food on those days. I was thinking perhaps just drinking water, black coffee (maybe a little milk), etc

I think i might find this easier so any advice anyone can give me or point me in the direction of would be great.

Thanks
Do you think I will still get a weight loss with the below rota:
M: DD
T: UP
W: ID
T: UP
F: DD
S: UD

Hiya All,

I'm seriously considering buying The Fast Diet book and giving this a go instead of returning to slimming world. While i love slimming world and pretty much know it inside out and if i stick to it 100% i know it can work for me. However i have founf myself yo-yo dieting with SW again. I'm finding it all too consuming worrying about amounts etc(ie on sw you are 'allowed a choice of healthy extras such as cereal, milk, bread, cheese etc, and so many syns to use on 'treats' a day'. I've found myself eating things i don't want / need to use my syns (such as crisps / chocolate and wine and then having more).

Anyway my point is, I think i could easily manage planning and fasting on 2 days and i just wondered what type of foods / how much people eat on fasting days.

Thanks in advance xx
