Hello everyone!
I'm having an operation next week and am going to be bed bound for 2weeks following, unable to move my upper body, obviously I don't want to put on weight, so I'm worried about that, but I also don't want to waste the time, anyone know any
Mild thigh toning exercises I could do without moving my upper body and staying in bed?
Thanks a million :) x

To be honest I would just concentrate on making yourself better!

Exercise will always be there, so dont rush your recovery!

I agree - rest and repair time - you are allowed to be a couch potato!!

You could ask for a physio referral - you may be given some post operative exercises to suit your needs.

Good luck xx

i wouldnt try anything... just recover first :)

I agree that you should worry about recovering first, however, here are some legs exercises you can do whilst in bed:
Lay in bed with your knees up. Gently kick out one leg until it is straight and locked at the knee. Hold for a few seconds and then return to the original position. Repeat three or four times and then switch legs. This will work the quadriceps at the front of the thigh. Additionally, you can bring both legs up to your chest, hold and stretch out the lower back, and then lower them back down to the bed again.
