Hello,

I'm doing slimming world and have lost 2st5.5 so far but feel like im stuck in a bit of a rut!! I had a terrible weekend food wise and need to try and have a good few days, I was 13st7 before weekend, after weekend 13st10, I have had a few days of good eating and doing the 30day shred and my weight went to 13st8, its now back up to 13st9.5 could it be because im exercising or ia it just the amount of food I have eaten? What do you reckon? Any one else gained when first starting to exercise?

I think I can see results now, or it might be in my mind, I forgot to take measurements so its just a feeling, but a goid feeling :)

I started 30 day shred day today

I got 30 day shred for Christmas (I asked my sister who is a personal trainer to buy me a fitness DVD she approved). How are people finding it? I have yet to try it out but someone told me its a bit of a killer even though its only 20 mins. I also have some of the other Jillian Michaels DVDs in a box set (lucky me)!

It's a good DVD, it's not easy but it's also not high impact like insanity or p90x. It's tough to start with but exercise that provides results is never going to be easy. Think I might restart again :) x

I hate jumping jacks :/ x

I saw a comment about the 30 Day Shred somewhere the other day and I started looking at reviews on Amazon. Sounds amazing, but as a student, I'm kind of lacking space. Do you need a lot of room for it? I do have some floor space but I'm worried it won't be enough and I don't want to waste money on something I won't be able to use...

I'm also doing 30DS but alongside WW. I seen no change in the scale but I remembered to measure and had lost a total of 6 inches in the first week. When you begin an exercise routine your muscles retain water so I have read anyway

I have loved the exercise... I was a regular at body pump classes until some health issues and love that her DVDs are not the usual weird dance routine the majority seem to be. Plus it's so quick I can cope with the soreness!!! I also got a boxset with Ripped in 30 and went a tad crazy and spent my Christmas money on her Body Revolution 90 day set.

With regards to space not much is needed. At least for level one... sorry I'm not much use for the other 2.

I love 30DS it got me into shape for my wedding - (then I had a baby!) I restarted the other week, but I think I pushed myself too far too soon.
Spacewise, you don't need much....make sure you have tins of beans or bottles of water as make-do weights as you need them to work your arms! x

Thank you, I've ordered it online so I can get started in a couple of days, woo!

I started back on 20 day shred today!

Im in some need of serious toning, esp my tummy, which looks like congealed porridge!

Did my first 30 day shred today and ooooh myyyy god it killed me!! Was torture!!

Jump rope is horrible!

Just done L1d2 - was looking online last night at 30DS before & after pics - it's so inspiring!

I have to look at photos or the blogs of people who've already done it to motivate me to do it!!

Tjeres loads if you google 30DS before and after pics

its one of those things that once you start and get through the first circuit, it's not too bad. It's just getting started that's the hard bit! I'm telling myself that I won't look nice in a bikini on my holiday by sitting on my bum!

Fully recommend this dvd. After losing 3 stone, I started this to make sure I didn't put it back on again. I'm nearly 50, and although it was a killer at first, after 3 months I had lost another few pounds and toned up considerably. I am now pretty fit, and go out running with my dogs too. Really bought my leg and arm muscles back. I'm probably fitter than I've been for 20 years. I've now started 6 week abs by Jillian too. I found the first level pretty ok because of doing rhe 30ds, but boy the 2nd level is hard, although I can do it. Although my core muscles are really strong, just trying to get rid of the wobbly tummy.
What I would say is that although I had to make myself do it at first, I really started enjoying it. I love doing my workouts every morning before work, I feel full of energy, I feel strong and I only need to sleep about 6 hours a night now.
