How many days a week?

How many days a week should you do strength training (weights, squats , planks and sit ups etc)? I've heard conflicting answers on this subject, some saying to leave a rest day inbetween and others saying you need to do it every day. I don't want to ruin my chances before getting started lol any help would be massively appreciated :) xxxx
 
Hello! Well i also have heard/read controversial opinions about this question. But one thing i have understood - if you are doing something simple (plank, stretchings, sit ups) you can do it every day! If you use weights and do long hard workouts - make breaks in one day between. This day you need to give a rest to your joints, muscles and body in whole. Easy fast exercises can be done every day. good luck!

Thanks - doing high intensity training about twice or three times a week and weights every other day xxxx
