Hello there, I too am a newbie to yoga and loving it. I bought myself Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown DVD off eBay for £6, so worth it. A great workout and she talks you through the moves and you really do feel good afterwards.
My top tip would be don't push yourself too far to start with, as that may lead to injury. The more you do it the stronger and more flexible you'll get and then you can start to push yourself a little more, stretch that little bit further, hold that position that little bit longer, etc!!
