First click the "Chat" link in the blue bar at the top!


A java applet will load, if it asks for permission before it can be loaded, click yes/okay. You will then see this as it loads, its just telling you that its connecting to a server so you can chat.


This is what it looks like, when you have connected. Note the users list on the right, your given a random number after mini, and thats your nick, you can change it and well talk about that later.



You insert text by first clicking into the white box, where hello! is coming up, and then type, when you are finished, just press the return/enter key


This picture is showing you, somebody saying hi, and then a reply back of hello!



You can insert smilies into the chat, just click on the one you desire, and it comes up in the chat room.



You can change your nickname, by putting it into the box at the bottom righ, see where "newNick" is. When you though of the nick you want, press return and your nickname changes.



You can also change the colour by selecting a colour from the list of colours, which is just above the nick-change box.
