Unable to post facebook link

Hi, I have tried several times to add my facebook URL into my profile data but it keeps telling me:

"You did not enter the correct format for the Facebook field. Please read the field description for the expected format."

All the description says is:
"Facebook homepage url. If you do not have a vanity url be sure to take the "profile.php?id=XXXXX" where XXXXX is a number."

But I do have a vanity URL - which I assume is when you have your own chosen "username" at the end of your profile URL. I am very confused, please help?

Go to your facebook profile and in the url bar you will see www.facebook.com/XXXX.XXXXXX
you need the bit where I have put x's. Then go to your settings on here, edit profile and paste it in the facebook box.

as gettingfit says if youre vanity url is jane.bloggs then thats what you put in the FB box

Oh so you JUST need the vanity url? Not the rest of the address?
