I do this every year too and I'm sick of it. Finally got down to my "happy weight" last summer and felt great. I KNEW I was slipping and I KNEW I'd be sorry but first I was busy in work. Then it was Christmas and sure what's the point, I'd be good in January. But then, sure its my birthday first week in Feb so I'll start after that..... And here I am back to square one. I'd say I've lost and re-gained the same stone 20 times at this stage. Grr! /rant!!!

AHHH back to this old thread

seem to just got round and round and round doing the same old stuff

started training again but really getting annoyed with this cycle Losing it all and gaining it all back over the winter months

Notice this thread is from 2012 no point in making a new thread for the same issue.

started again for the last time if i can't keep it off over the winter months this year I will give up for good.

I am great at losing weight, lose about 70lbs every year... trouble is its the SAME 70lbs every year.

Looking at the dates of this thread I am a little proud of myself for a change

    Started again at 285lbs 14/4/13

stopped losing weight in the winter of 2013 (this is the point I normally end up putting it back on)
this year was different tho never lost anything over the winter months but I certainly didn't put any on either

I am back training hard again current weight 233lbs and failing

first time I haven't piled it all back on in the winter.

Still got 33lbs to lose, BUT I guess I have learned how not to put it back on in the winter.

im the same! Glad you see you managed to crack it last winter! Managing to maintain is harder then losing for me, so well done for maintaining all through winter!

its so comforting to see that i am not the only one that this happens to - i do the same thing every year - lose 8 stone in 8 or 9 months, then christmas comes and it all goes out the window with the intention of starting fresh in the new year - but then i cant get my head back into eating the healthy stuff- and before i know it, its march or april and i am starting again from my original starting weight - i am determined to break the cycle this year though - lets see if i stick to that!
