    IBS

    Hi there

    Was wondering if anyone has irritable vowel syndrome? I went to drs today with abdominal pain, bloating and urine infection. He had given me my antibiotic for uti which normally works and has also gave me audmonal 60mg capsules.

    It says these are for ibs and I wasn't told that's what I hv. Anyone else use these. I hv had terrible diarreoha today and not sure if its coz these tablets r meant to relax my stomach muscles!! It was horrible. Painful stomach all night now :-( xx

    Medicines are often used for things besides what the leaflet says. For example some medicines that are licensed for epilepsy are also used to treat migraines and bipolar disorder. Some antidepressants are used to treat chronic nerve pain.

    So just because the leaflet says IBS don't worry yoo much.
