hi all, new to dieting in general, i have dieted before and had a similar problem as below, any help appreciated!

i was 18.6 stone at new year and started "eating right" (no takeaways, processed foods etc) and slowly started losing weight, i was pretty pleased with myself so started a sensible diet i can live with week to week, not staving myself or cutting out essentials.

this is roughly what im at:

breakfast:
homemade fruit juice 3 mixed fruits juiced
2 slice of nimble brown bread with coconut oil as replacement marg.

lunch: homemade veg soup 500ml portions, all whole veg mix different every week, garlic, herbs etc all juiced, mixed with pulp and blended together. 2 chicken stock cubes is the only non veg (added to a weeks worth)and once a week i have the likes of poached egg on toast etc.

the idea of the soup was a detox at the beginning by drinking the juice only for lunch but its rotten and i made soup, tasty soup lol

dinners are varied but like fish and salad, lean steak or other lean meat and steamed veg etc but all sensible portions.

snacks: to keep a healthy fat intake i have maybe 1 or 2 rivita, crisprolls or hovis digestives with cheese triangles, cottage or cheddar cheese but dont overdo it! and these snack stop that starving panicking feeling.

ive never eaten so healthy or so little and in 3/4 weeks went from 18.6 stone to 17.10, although im still the same "size" waist etc ive noticed a massive difference in my belly area and clothes fit better or loose.

the problem is, for over a week now ive lost nothing! thankfuly not put weight on but completely stopped losing?

i cant eat any less and if i cut out the snacks ill get little fat in my diet and ill feel really hungry, ive tried fruit as a replacement snack but im "borderline diabetic" and the 3 i have for breakfast is enough.

any ideas? am i doing something wrong?

thanks

I wouldn't worry if you haven't lost weight in just over a week, you've lost 10lbs in less than a month!
Some weeks the scales don't budge even tj

Sorry, posted too soon!
Was meant to say sometimes the scales don't move even if you've been angelic with food!
Look at you losses over a longer period rather than a week.

it really depends what you're food was like before you started healthy eating & the changes you've made. if you've only made small changes, then it's acceptable to see just small losses, personally I'd be very happy with the losses, you've moving in the right direction.

Try to up your exercise & drink more water, see if that helps. Or keep a proper diary & see if you can spot anything creeping in to hinder your losses. Try taking a look around here at peoples diaries & see how they are doing, try & get yourself some ideas.

Personally, I'd work out how many calories you're eating a day and make sure it's not actually too few. Eating too little is likely to eventually stall your losses, so sometimes you actually need to increase your calorie intake. The minimum you should be having is 1200 if you're a woman or 1500 if you're a man. If you use a good calorie tracker like My Fitness Pal it's easy to keep an eye on your levels. Good luck. :) xx

thanks for all the info guys, just setup the calculator tracey. i have been at about 1500 calories daily intake for a month 1000 under normal give or take so on track for 2lb a week. now ive stalled weight loss ill have to rethink what im eating but that calculator should help loads. bit of a learning curve ahead and some food for thought.

thanks again guys i appreciate it!

I would definitely say to up the exercise, keep a diary of what you eat and drink every day using my fitness pal, make sure you mark everything down so that you can see your actual da ily intake :)
