Sparkling water v still water.

This is probably a stupid question but is drinking fizzy water just as good as drinking still.

I'm trying to drink my 2 litres a day and finding it hard but had fizzy water last night and loved it. It has a bit of oomph about it so I'm going to try that but is it the same as still when it comes down to the health benefits?

It doesn't matter what you drink, any liquid will hydrate you - water, juice, tea, coffee, milk. I only really drink coffee myself as I can't stand water, lol. On average you need to drink 1.2 litres a day in addition to food, but it doesn't have to be water. So I'm sure sparkling water will do the job just fine. :) xx

Thanks Tracey I always thought it had to be plain water. I'll add a bit of squash to it too that should help it go down nicer!

Oh definitely - I loathe drinking water, hot drinks all the way for me, except for a glass of squash a day to take medication with! :D xx

Sparkling water is like having orangeade etc as it's fizzy. It's a nice treat sometimes and yes, it's all water :)

Not a fan of it without squash though.

I do know that normal water with juice of fresh lemon is the best! I drink it right before breakfast and morning coffee! I know that many people do not like to drink just water( But for me it is not a problem anymore after i found this soluiton - lemon! try and you will like water more than everything;-)) of course wine doesn't count)) nothing is better than wine))

Plain water sits too heavy in my stomach, whereas fizzy water is so much nicer to drink, I love it and would rather have fizzy water than anything else. Well, barring the odd glass of red of course.
