Mind over matter.
If you don't mind staying like you are then having a doughnut doesn't matter.But if you hate the way you are then it does matter.
Make your own low fat / low sugar / healthier cakes to take with you :-) there's a lot of really good recipes out there, I like to make sugar free parsnip muffins occasionally. Things like that help me to feel like I'm not missing out on the bad stuff
