Need Some Advice/Pointers

Hi All
I have been on a diet(ish) since Jan 1st this year. Basically I have a breakfast bar in the morning, sandwiches for lunch and vegetable soup for dinner and a couple of chicken bits before I go to bed. This is for Monday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday I eat as normal (nothing too much though but significantly better than in the week).
I was 13st 7lbs on Jan 1st and now I am 12st 4lbs so it seems to be working fine.
I have a multigym and was wondering whether its worth using it, my fear is that the fat I have (I want to lose another stone) will turn to muscle and my weight will go up.
Not too sure whether to wait until I am down to the weight I want to be 11st and a half, or start to train now. I know that muscle burns fat by being muscle but I don't want to become as heavy as I was in the beginning... does that make sense?
Still have quite a bit of a belly I would like to get rid of :)
Help

You can't build muscle (except for new gains - approximately 5lbs or so) whilst eating in a calorie deficit. Not to mention the rate of actual muscle gain for people trying to gain isn't much more than 3-4lbs per month (whilst eating in a massive calorie excess and doing some intense exercise).

So I wouldn't worry. Any gains you'll see will likely to be water weight and will disappear once you're a few weeks into your new regime.

Yes, apart from a couple of weeks when you might experience a gain you should still lose at a similar rate you currently are. Not to mention you will see a much greater rate of inch loss, so start measuring yourself as it'll be more reliable than the scales if you bring weight training into the equation.
