Packed lunches whilst on SW

Good evening,
I'm a new member of SW and joined last Monday, however, had a disastrous first week and only lost half pound:sigh:. Some of this is due to the limited food which is on offer in my works canteen, so I've decided to take in packed lunches.
Has anyone got any really good ideas for meals as of this week going to be taking mugshots in because they are quick and convenient plus fruit to eat afterwards. Any help or advice would be really appreciated. :gen147:

mini crustless quiches you could vary the fillings inside them,I take them on picnics now instead of sandwiches
chicken drumsticks, there are different recipies online,I really like sticky bbq ones
you could get a flask and make up some soup
I buy laughing cow extra light cheese triangles and roll ham around them and have that with salad

Hi! I do a massive pasta salad at the beginning of the week and it gets me through most of it, put things like (obv) pasta!, cooked bacon medallions with crushed garlic cut up, spring onions, mushrooms, a tin of mixed beans, sweet corns, spinach, baby plum tomatoes chopped up, and to make it not dry I put in a full tub of fat free natural yogurt, (it kinda soaks into everything but makes it not dry or stick together! I also sometimes add jalapeños or chilli flakes fills u up for full afternoon and totally free!! Xx

I was going to suggest similar to the above but using cous cous.

Can you get jackets potato's in your canteen as you could always get a plain spud and add your own toppings.

If you have a micro wave available take a pre baked jacket spud (or sweet pot for a change) and reheat with salad and cottage cheese, or with baked beans etc.

I sometimes also make an omelette the night before, pop it in the fridge in a tub and heat in the microwave at lunchtime.

I had to take a packed lunch with me today as I was on a course off site and it was a bit unispired with ryvita hexb and mini tubs of lightest philly hexa with a side salad and a yoghurt, but I enjoyed it for a change.

I think the key is to keep it interesting by changing it up

Syn free hummus, carrot sticks, fruit, chicken drumsticks, salad

Thanks guys for the advice I've been looking for my thread and haven't found this site easy so kind of gave up on it for a couple of weeks but will definitely give a lot of these a try xx
