Diet: Acomplia & Healthy Eating
i would say not eating regular meals eg never eating breakfast, being too busy for lunch then stuffing my face on a nite. that along with drinking a bottle a wine a day to block out all the crap in my life! on the bright side ive eaten breakfast every day for 2 weeks and only drank alcohol 3 times in that period too and each time when ive been out not sitting at home thinkin i need it to unwind and relax and to be honest i feel a million times better and dont even fancy it whoop!wonder if the cravings thing that this acomplia is good for is actually working on alcohol ?!?!

Mee too, piled it on in first year with hubby without noticing, then been creeping up over the years.

Also I never stuck to a diet for more than a couple of months for me to get back to a normal weight

Diet: Gastric Bypass
Surgery Date: 08/11/2008
Started off with boredom, then as I gained weight I stopped going out as much as clothes were uncomfortable and I did not feel good about myself so this gave me more time to get bored and more time to eat I never feel full that little switch people say is in your head to stop you eating was never put in I am sure!....

Probably a combination of eating takeaways too often, having a sedentary job (I.T. analyst/developer), not taking any exercise and binge eating. If I had a bad day at work I'd eat a whole box of cereal or a family size bag of M&Ms. And I've had a lot of bad days over the years!

Diet: Cambridge
I never changed my eating habbits, i joined the Army at 16, and it was very physical and my calorie intake was massive, but it was always used up, when i left the jobs i had were not as physically demanding, but i was still eating the same amount, and as i approached 40 i jumped up to 17 stone, not good, so i joined cambridge and got back down to 13st 5 lbs, that was in 2005, now sitting at the 15 st mark, but im 6ft 1 and i dont look as big as i did a couple of years ago

Mine stems back from childhood - we were so poor, with 8 kids, we ate what we could when we could (oh, woe is me, ha!) wasn't always 'good food' (sugar sandwiches!!), add to eating wrong foods at wrong times when I left ome ... the damage was done & then it was eating more all the time to maintain the weight I was carrying!
Sad but true

I'd say mine was mainly emotional eating due to depression and lack of self respect/self esteem. I'm definitely feeling better about everything these days. Most 'normal' people put it down to greed, but it's usually more complicated than that.

I really, honestly, do not know. Been overweight since my teens. I like chocolate but I have never binged, and long got out of the habit of having desserts. I reckon I eat the same as the people around me. My job used to entail a lot of eating out and nights out in the pub but I've cut them right back over the years, but I still can't work out why they never seemed to put weight on the way I did. Maybe there is such a thing as a fat gene?

It was my second pregnancy that contributed lots to my weight. In the third trimester it is/was (unsure of current guidelines) recommended that you consume an extra 400 calories a day. This applied to breastfeeding too.
Dd2 was 4 months old when I stopped breastfeeding and 3 when I gave up the extra 400 calories

Diet: W8 Rapid
I would like to blame two children within 2 years but in reality the weight was piling on way before my first pregnancy. In reality a mix between lazyness, trying to have same sized portions as my hubby and using fizzy juices to boost my energy levels so I can manage on 4 hours sleep.

Childhood centered on diets because my mum wanted a partner, I was never allowed to sweets unless she wanted them too, which left me with a bad relantionship with food. Things got out of control when I started suffering from depression and anxiety. Throw in the mix some boredom, lazyness, low self esteem, and a passion for high caloric foods too.
