30 day shred = muscles dead. boohoooo stairs are so unkind!!!! xx
    Beth.

Lost almost 3 stone on Cambridge between January and April 2012.

Maintaining at around 8 stone using a basic Low GL, clean eating diet & plenty of exercise.

Still struggling to keep ED thoughts at bay.

    But trying.

    Really hard.

Hi hope you don't mind, but I've followed you over from CD 1000-maintenance forum :-) I'm impressed with how well you've managed to step up from CD and your food looks really healthy. I think it's probably only natural that your stomach get a bit bigger after a meal - it's got to go somewhere until its 'processed' :-). You sound like you're doing fine to me.

    hiya Soel!!

thanks for following my journey and welcome!

how have you found cambridge?? where are you with it now?

not sure how much youve read of my diaries but i did cambridge for twelve weeks no cheats on ss, and went from 148 to 110 pounds. then i tried the steps...and completely failed. i felt like i was floundering without the structure...and calorie counting was very hard for me, it made me slil back into tendencies i had as a teenager to starve/binge (using most of my calories on chocolate) so for me, i decided to scrap the steps and move onto a simple healthy, filling, non refined and low glycemic index diet. patrick holfords diet is what i am doing at the moment, along with the thirty day shred and gym exercise. i would love to get to seven stone seven...but..for me I would just like a healthy and happy relationship with food wherein i can treat myself and not feel guilty, but also eat foods that are actually good for me! Phew! Xxxx

    Hi LC :-)

You've done so well - 38 lbs loss on a small frame is brilliant. You should be very proud of yourself :-). Your low GI food seems like the perfect fit for you. Definitely don't go down calorie counting route if it triggers the binge/starve cycle for you hun. We're all different so go with what works for you :-). I'm very impressed with your shredding, even reading it makes me tired, lol.

I feel like I've been going from feast to famine since first starting CD in 2009. I am ashamed to say I get to target, go on holiday, overeat at Christmas and then start the CD cycle again in January. It hasn't been quick or easy this time but I'm now 1 lb from goal, bmi 22 and going to step 3 1000 as of tomorrow. This is where my real hard work starts and I hope to take inspiration from you :-)

Oh and by the way, your omelettes look GORGEOUS!!

Sorry for going on so much and best of luck with low GI - you can do it:-) x

Thank u so much for your kind words hun they mean a lot. Please continue to follow along and let me know how you are getting on. Do u have a thread?

Well done for getting so close to goal with cwp! I know how tough it can be to break bad habits, believe me, it is nothing to be ashamed of, i used to do terrible things to my body with food as a weird form of self harm. But no more! We can do this!!!!

And remember...life is for living...holidays, christmas, we have to enjoy them - its just a case of trying to be healthy the rest of the time to make up for it!

Good luck lovely, u know where i am for some mutual support should u need it xxxx

Thanks for such a lovely post, it does make a difference to know we're not alone in this battle, we can support each other through this :-). I've started a maintenance diary over on 1000 to maintenance (stepping out of cambridge) - it'll be great to compare notes:-). Have another great low GI day xx

Longgggg day at work today. Was at a conference allll day!

They gave us 'lunch tokens' for the canteen at the conference venue. People eating as much as thy could for the sake of it. Then Judging me because I had brought lunch with me. They were being quite nasty to me if i am honest. I had rye bread with trout, watercress and homemade pumpkin seed pesto. They were saying how horrible it looked and how stupid all this 'macrobiotic' food was. I mean for god sake. If you're going to try and offend me. Get it right! However...just spurs me on to be honest. I look much healthier and am fitter physically than most of them, but yet they see fit to judge me and I would never judge them. This is why I got so sick as a teen, caring too much about others opinions. So glad I've come so far and now take it all on the chin and move in.

    Meh. Anyway.

B: 1.5 slices rye toast and crunchy peanut butter. 1 weak tea and small glass skimmed milk
S: natural yoghurt and berries (strawberry, blackberry, blueberry)
L: rye bread topped with homemade pumpkin seed pesto and flaked trout on watercress.
S: no second snack because I had little tasters of all my grazeboxes and the pate I made.
D: chicken breast, roasted cherry tomatoes, half a baked potato, with reduced fat crime fraiche, tomato purée and fresh basil.

Really happy with the pâté I have made. Egg and hummus. Yum! Was not sure it would be nice...but it isssssss!!

Also done day three of the shred...getting into it now!

    Xxx

    Meh.

Sorry your colleagues were so rude. Food/weight/diet are issues that people feel they have a right to remark on - rise above it and like you say use it to spur you on :-). Your food sounds balanced and healthy - that's my tuppence worth :-)

Hope you have a good day today xx

Lost almost 3 stone on Cambridge between January and April 2012.

Maintaining at around 8 stone using a basic Low GL, clean eating diet & plenty of exercise.

Still struggling to keep ED thoughts at bay.

    But trying.

    Really hard.

    Hello all,

i Was having a great day today until I got on the scales.

I've gone up to 8.1 and It makes me nervous!

I know that I weighed at the end of the day after all my food, and also I know that because I'm doing the shred, that actually might be muscle weight not fat. But I hate it when I'm eating healthily and the weight seems to go up, it makes my brain do funny things, like tell myself I am eating too much...even though my average cals per day is only about 1300/1400. Meh!

I'm having a weekend off dieting, for the first time since January. I have had this weekend planned for a long time, and I am determined to enjoy it!

My goal for next week is to drink more water....I think I am very dehydrated these last couple of weeks, but my job is so out and about..it is impossible for me to drink a lot as I spend so much time driving. When I was working at a desk I drank much more!

But from Monday..no more slacking! No more sugar!

Here's my food for today (bit of a rubbish day today)

    B: muesli with strawberries

S: apple and Jaffa cake (bad!)

L: trout and pesto open sandwich

    S: 2x Nairn oatcakes and egg/hummus pate

D: chicken breast, half baked potato , cherry tomatoes and 2 slices garlic bread (bad!)

S: homemade white chocolate and granola cookie ( baked them this evening so had to try them out! BAD!)

    No water..or exercise tonight! BAD!

To cheer me up though, and food related...look at this little pic my lovely oh sent me earlier. He is so cute
