GI Diet Support Forum The GI diet explained how to manage blood sugars levels to help weight loss and encourage long-term good health. The GL (glycaemic load) is an exciting new extension of these principles and measures more accurately the carbohydrate load of food. This means that foods that had previously been considered high GI, e.g. melon, can now be introduced into your diet, as the amount of carbs you would eat in a portion, rather than in a whole melon, is calculated.

Another week and another two pounds gone!

Yay!

Also calculated today that if I lose another eight pounds I will then just be overweight! Fingers crossed that I will be in a month's time!

Luv CC xx xx xx

Well done CC, you're really doing well, I'm so glad the GI diet's working for you. Apart from the pain of cooking so much, most of the food is delicious and there are so many lovely things you can have - it's a great diet and so healthy. Keep up the good work

Thanks Madam Dotty!

Tonight I managed to get away with not cooking as I gave my boyfriend a recipe book and tad dah! 20 minutes later I had a lovely and yummy tomato and bean soup for dinner, he even did the washing up.
