I just want to say, diets like that are pretty well planned out. They set the plans so that you get the right amount of nutrients that you need, by not following the plan, you're cutting out vital minerals and vitamins that your body needs. So I really wouldn't recommend that you cut out that meal. You have a fairly low BMI at the moment which is extra reason not to do so. You obviously are wanting to lose weight and quickly but if you don't get enough of what you need, even if you lose weight, it won't be good for you. You'll lose muscle as well as fat. Your metabolism will be lowered and so when you stop doing measure up you'll find it difficult to maintain the losses. And you'll probably feel extremely tired and drained if your body isn't getting what it needs. Those shakes are about 200 calories each, having just 3 of those a day isn't healthy or safe.

You have quite a low BMI so I don't know if you really need to lose weight or whether you actually need to look at how you see yourself and your self-confidence. But if you decide that you really do want to lose weight, you should do it in as healthy a way as possible, still looking after your body. So I'd suggest either doing measure up and adding in that meal that you're supposed to have. Or look at other ways, maybe calorie counting and exercise? When you have a low BMI, the best chance that you can give your body to lose weight and maintain it in a healthy way is exercising. It'll tone you up, help you lose fat and increase your metabolism.

I know you want to lose weight fast but it's really not worth it at the sacrifice of your health.

I do understand i have a confidence issue but i find it hard to motivate myself to exercise - due to not eating very much my energy level are so low. I often find that if i indulge in a snack I cant help but binge and end up on off the diet track and then when i do decide to diet again i punish myself by eating less than 1000 calories a day at the most! Thanks for your reply it really made me put things into perspective and that maybe my weight isnt the issue and that its me?

To be honest, I'd agree with that. You're a very good weight for your height but sometimes we look at ourselves through these glasses that have all these different filters on them - fat, ugly, worthless, the list goes on. But just because that's what you see, doesn't mean that that's what everyone else sees or that that's what you are. It seems to me that you have a very unhealthy relationship with food, one where you use it to both reward and punish yourself. I think that's something that you need to work on, for a start you need to realise that you don't need to punish yourself. We all make mistakes, we all go off plan, that's just the way life is. You don't need to beat yourself up about it, you just need to pick yourself up and carry on. Maybe it might be worth having a little chat with your doctor? I don't know what's the cause of your confidence and the way that you see yourself but he/she may be able to refer you to a counsellor or someone so that you can have a chat through it all and try to work on it. The fact that you've realised that maybe it's you rather than your weight is a huge step so well done, from here you can focus on you and getting yourself right rather than trying to lose weight because chances are, even if you did you still wouldn't be happy. You're on the right track now, don't forget that everyone here is here for support if you need it.

Tis reminded me so much of my best friend! Her bmi is about 25.5, and sheis convinced she is fat, because b4 kids she was TINY and she wants at back :-( its such a shame cos sheis a stunning girl, and even had a boob job cos she thoughthaving smaller breast (they were about a C cup anyway) made her appearbigger, and having bigger boobs would make her tummy appear flatter. Nothing any1 can say will convince her :-( i think if anything sheshould just tone up, and maybe thats what ushould do...if ur weightisnt an issue but ur body is to u, then maybe just increase ur exercise and tone up, which would make u appear slimmer anyway xxx ive got quite abit to lose and im incorporating low cal diet and exercise xxx

Thanks guys :) has helped lots! I still watch what im eating but who doesnthave bad days? Im currently 8 stone 10 and would like to be between 8 stone and 8 and half but that will happen steadily! Wish yous all the luck in the world! Im also going to start excercising much more aswell :) thank you!!!!!! xxx
