Thread: Worried about turnstiles at stadiums......

Hi all

I've just read about a man who got stuck in the turnstile at villa park, he was 31stone in one article but 22 in another. I'm worried as I'm going to see Take That at villa park at the end of June, and I nearly got stuck in the full body turnstile at Coventry in 2009.

I had no problems elsewhere as they were only waist turnstiles or none at all, pretty worried - does anyone go to Villa Park for the footie or has anyone my sort of size been there?

I got stuck in our building turnstile once. But luckily, no one's around. Just my friends who then goofed about the scene. But anyways, this experiences make us aim for a healthier body right? I was really embarrassed then. But I laughed about it too. And blamed myself for being so lame when it comes to food.

Trick: Laugh at it. Don't let others see that you felt ashame of what happen. Hold your head up high!

Whenever I go to see Liverpool play the ground staff always ask me if I'd rather go through the main gate while Im in the queue for the turnstile. Don't know about other grounds like Villa Park or venues, but I would imagine that there will be an alternative to turnstile somewhere. Theres usually loads of security/ground staff at these places, and they're all friendly enough so I would look out for the big gates/entrances and see if they're letting people in there.

I went to Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli. One look at the turnstiles and I knew they weren't for me. Even my brother, who is 15st, had to go through sideways. So I waited whilst he asked them to open a side door for me. Was most embarressing but I know use that experience as fuel to keep me going.
