My last "yo" on the "yo-yo".......

Hi all!

I keep coming across the Mini Mins forum when doing searches for advice on certain diets etc. so today I thought I'm going to sign up and share the support and advice :)

So I have been yo-yo-ing from diet to diet for the past 10+ years of my life.. and yes I am only 24. Weight has always been an issue. For some reason I just love to eat food and am never happy unless I've got a stomach full of goodies.

Yes, I've lost weight on diets and suceeded for some time.. only to yo-yo back to the start again!!

I've tried Slim Fast, Weight Watchers, Cambridge Weight Plan, Atkins, Protein Shakes as meal replacements..... but I just never seem to stick. I think I've had the most sucess with Weight Watchers, but still I'm sat back here at 15 stone plus.

So tonight, I'm giving (what seems to me to be the only diet left that I haven't tried) my local Slimming World group a go! I've been reading that people see it more of a lifestyle change than a diet which I think might be better for me. I know Weight Watchers is a lifestyle change, but with everything pretty much being a ProPoint or Point my mind gets rebellious and wants more! We'll see I suppose!

I have good reasons to diet, very good. My weight is starting to affect my liver slightly, showing up in blood tests now. My weight depresses me and I constantly feel unattractive. I want to have children but know at the moment I wouldn't have the energy as I'm just getting so lazy! I'm classified as 'Morbidly Obese' which isn't the most thrilling title to come under!! My list could go on, yet I'll always "start tomorrow..." one last take-away

So bring it on tonight I say! Lets hope this is my last "yo" on the "yo-yo".......!!! :wave_cry:

hey dude! meet your mate! our stories sound similar except that im 28 and also nearing the 15 stone mark and at 5 foot nothing its nothing to be proud of haha. Ive done ww too and it stressed me out so Im back on slimming world (did it 10 years ago too - also a yoyo dieter). I had a great first week but then it all went pete tong when I went on holiday and ate ALL OF THE FOOD. so Im getting back to it asaps! I too want to start a family in the not too distant future but my knees are already giving in under the hefty size of me so no added babypoundage until Ive sorted my self out :)
