I'm a newbie! My name is Scarlett - I'm 20.

Unfortunately at the moment, my weight is matching my age (plus a little bit more....) I'm at 284lb at the moment and would like to get down to 195lbs. (20st 4 3/4lbs to 13st 13lbs)

I've never been skinny - but I'm 6ft 2.. So i'd like for people to comment on my lovely long SLIM legs in the future instead of just saying 'Oooh you're a big girl aren't you!'

I'm starting on Slimming World and I need all the luck and support I can get at the moment. My first day went well, but I know it's not always going to be easy!

I can't wait to write a post next week saying that I've lost some weight to get myself started!

I've done Slimming World before and I lost weight, but I just didn't stick at it for whatever reason. But that's all changed now lol :D
What plan are you doing?

None at the moment!! I was doing a low calorie one myself, but havent been able to get to the gym in 2 weeks, and working loads of shifts, so feel sluggish and need a kick start!!

I have done WW when i was in my teens but didnt stick to it, would like to go to a slimming club i think, but i don't know if i could make the meets!! xx
 
Hey Scarlett :) I'm new here too! I'm on day 4 of lipotrim. Welcome :) Well done for jumping on the wagon, just think about it in a few months we'll all be skinny minis!!
How is your day going today? I know the first few days are always the hardest but if you stick at it, it eventually gets easier! Drink loads of water, it really helps you along the way.

Hi Amanda! Thanks for the luck - and good luck to you too! :) I've been doing quite well I think! I've been eating lots of fruit and drinking mostly squash instead of fizzy drinks. No cakes, chocolate or anything else from a packet so I think I'm pretty on track!

Fingers crossed we will see results at weigh in next week! x

I'm new too and have just started Slimming World last week, next session on tuesday good luck with the target I'm sure you'll get there :)!!!
 
Hi sparx! Welcome :D I'm not actually going to a meeting at the moment as i'm a bit skint.... and i've got a back problem and can't spend too much time out and about but i'd like to start going in the future! Good luck! xx
 
Your more than welcome that's what minimins is all about I don't think I'd still be still going if it wasn't for coming on here some days!!

Ive been doing SW for coming up to 10months I'm not the greatest advertisement for it tbh and that's my fault not SW. I'm your typical sabouter of my own progress was going great guns when I first started and at one point had lost coming up to 2 stone. but in the 10 months I've been doing it I've also spent long periods of time off plan or not committed 100%. I'm still keeping 1 stone off tho from when I first joined and I can't always say that about other times I've been going to classes before so in some ways I'm still doing well. Got back from hols couple weeks ago and am back on plan now feeling motivated and focused. I think SW is great it's just me that's the problem sometimes lol :)

U going to classes or doing from home?
 
Don't worry! It only matters if you're committed now! I've done Slimming World tons of times before and lost quite a lot of weight but then just gave up and stopped putting in the effort so I totally understand where you're coming from!

I'm doing it from home to start with as my back is giving me some real issues at the moment and I can't do alot of walking or sitting lol :/ What about you? are you going to meetings?

I'm on the extra easy for this first week will find out next week what happens next, I'm not totally sure what the 'basket syns' (blue in the food directory) are as they don't have the red orange and green on them? :)
 
To be honest with you I've never even heard of basket syns! lol! Let me know what they are when you find out haha! x

Yep your definitely right in pleased with myself for keeping the stone off and for still going after 10 months most times in the past I'd have just given up by now.

U poor thing hope your back is on the mend soon there's not much worse than a bad back, what day do u weigh? Looking forward to your first update. Yeah I go to meetings I'm not one of them ppl that could do without going I need to have that accountability and that keeps me going well most of the time lol. I find it helps joining up to challenges on here too So i have some targets to work too x

I weigh in on Saturdays :) I'm gonna try my hardest to start going to a group as soon as my back gets better, but I reckon that by the time I get better enough then I will be starting Uni and moving over 4 hours away! I definitely know what you mean about the accountability! But thankfully my best friend goes to a sw meeting and she's taken me under her wing and is making sure i'm trying hard haha!
