Hi
I'm 28 F, CW 150, GW 130, 5 ft 8
Just started calorie counting - I'm really glad I did a few days of counting my old diet before starting to behave myself! Really easy to see where I need to make changes. Mostly from my astronomical sugar consumption.
I gained about 15 lbs when I started my sedentary job, after having worked on my feet for 10 years. It's been hard admitting that I need to change, but I'm feeling healthy and happy with myself at the moment. Still uncomfortable with my extra weight, but glad I'm moving in the right direction. I want to lose weight because I've always (until a year or so ago) been quite slim, and now my clothes don't fit. Aghast to find I've gone up two sizes in the last few months - from a UK 10 to a 14. There were tears in the changing room that day, looking at my egg-shaped body with my tummy hanging over an exact copy of my favourite ever trousers. I have never been anything other than a size 10, and I'm determined to go back and buy those trousers in a 10!
I've just got in to rock climbing, which is a lot harder with every lb of fat - will be much easier with 20lb less, even if I don't do a single push up.
As I've never really dieted before, I'm setting myself small goals, first off to lose 5lbs in the next month. I'm doing this by counting calories and keeping to about 1500 per day. My previous calorie intake was more like 2500. I'm going to do a weekly weigh in, and would like to join your forums for support on my journey.
If anyone has similar goals, feel free to get in touch!
