My names Amie, im 21 years old (22 in a week) and I live in the West Midlands Uk.
I came across a recommendation of this site through somebody I watch on youtube quite a while ago.
As long as I can remember I have disliked myself especially my weight. I tried Weightwatchers online where I lost about 2 stone, ive tried going it alone on myfitnesspal, ive tried Weightwatchers meetings and ive sort of tried 5:2 diet but nothing seems to last and stick in my mind.
Im going on holiday on the 23rd and have come today to try my shorts on and only 1 pair still fits, bearing in mind when I went away in May they all fit. My weight seems to be going up and I need to do something about this but I have no idea where to turn or what route to go down. I cant seem to find deep routed motivation enough for me to not drift off track. I don't have a huge amount of money to spend, I have looked at Cambridge and other meal plans but have no idea how they would work or what sort of cost is involved.
In january I should be going to canada for a family wedding and I want to look and feel great for it.
Has anybody else been in this situation and how did you find a way out?
Hi Amie and welcome to Minimins! This seems like a problem we have all faced and its definitely about finding the plan which is right for you. I can certainly recommend slimming world, it doesn't cost a lot and you don't starve, its not a diet its a healthy eating plan. I have tried WW too and although I lost weight I was continuously hungry on it, I just love SW. There are many other great plans out there so how about having a mooch on here at what others are doing and take in all the info to work out which is best suit to you.
Good luck xx
Thanks for your reply. Ill have to have a look at slimming world, I was always under the illusion it was basically the same as ww though.
