Hi everyone, so as you read I am new to this site.
My name is Katelyn, I'm 22 & have been struggling with my weight for a long time.
I'm hoping to make some friends, discuss tips & help motivate other people dealing with weight issues.
I was 80kgs last new years and am currently 74kgs. My goal weight is to be 60kgs again and so far have managed to lose the weight with exercise and reading Paul McKenna's "I Can Make You Thin" & "Hypnotic Gastric Band" (really great reads btw)

Has anyone else read his books?

How has everyone else gone with their weight?

Thanks for reading :)

Firstly welcome :)
I'm 24 and am 80kgs. i have always been a yo-yo dieter if im honesty but after looking at a photo of myself a few weeks ago and seeing that i was actually huge... roughly must have been 15 stone and i found the exact dress and tried it on thankfully lately i have been on a diet following the atkins for the past 3 weeks having lost about 12lbs and have lost the other stone and a half without trying I am finally the lightest i have ever been i think!! My current motivation is that my partner is coming home from Norway (working) in 3 weeks and I have lost nearly a stone since he has been gone and we are trying for a baby when he comes home so there is my motivation really because I have PCOS and struggle with my fertility to any weight i lose will be a great improvement!
Anyway I give good advice and am always on here if youd like to communcate that'd be great we can give each other the motivation! :)
xx

Hi Cirsty,

That's awesome news! A lot of the journey is to do with motivation & being postitive :) that's one of the reasons i joined.
I always seem to get a larger boost of energy and motivation coming towards then end of my goals so hopefully you will too in these last 3 weeks before he comes home ^_^
How long has he been away for? & how long have you been together, if you don't mind me asking?
I can't last a night with out being with my partner :S

Goodluck with the next 3 weeks & thanks for replying!

- Katelyn xx

Hey both, I too am new here & to the whole being responsible for my body stuff (if I'm honest)
I had PCOS & had 2 children - it was when my weight was at its lowest & after I had surgery to remove adhesions from endo too.
Good luck both of you.
|'m so pleased I've found this site! I can now get help & support without feeling bad about myself for not wanting to go to weight watchers & be weighed publically etc!

I've just been to amazon & bought the Paul Mckenna books - got the confidence one too - can't hurt can it!
Can't wait to try the gastric band one :)
Thanks x

Katelyn:
Hey thanks for the reply. Yeah I agree that a lot of the motivation is positive thinking haha I've only just managed to change my way of thinking. He's been away for 3 months longest 3 months of my life haha I've only been with him a year but were like best friends talk all day everyday and although I have been talking to him it's not the same. Always here for a chat :) xx
