NEW YEAR - NEW ME!!

Hi Everyone

Newbie here!!

I've done lots of diets during my lifetime but the best I've found is Slimming World; it works for me when I'm in the right frame of mind, but I suppose you could say that about any 'diet'.

I've had an up and down 2013 with lots of 'bad' things happening but also some 'good' things too, but this has meant that I've often not stayed on track which has meant that although I have been going to SW throughout the year I'm basically the same weight as I was at this point last year. I've decided that 2014 is going to be the year I get to 'goal' and I will have to work hard to do it, so thought that some help from you all here might be very useful.

I've put a few pounds on over Christmas and I'm away in a hotel this weekend so felt it best to start on Monday 6th January; like many people I have a thing about starting on Monday but I'm away till Sunday evening so don't want to put pressure on myself and fall at the first hurdle.

I'll be back at group on Wednesday 8th January and then I'll start with a vengeance then, whilst trying to keep the damage to a minimum over the weekend.

I will be very grateful for any help, advice, kicks up the bum (when necessary), and praise when things are going well. For my part I will do my best to help and encourage you all too.

Hi Rita,

Welcome to MiniMins, like you I hope to make this year MY year :D

If you've never joined these forums before a lot of people find that starting their own diary type thread helps them :) The best place to do it would be the Slimming World sub forum group as people following the same plan as you will be able to help, better relate and spur you on. (If you need help finding just shout!)
