fibromyalgia sufferer who wants to be thin

Hello everyone :-) I have joined minimins again after forgetting my username and password for my last account! ooops lol

Anyways hi im Kim 24 and severely disabled from fibromyalgia. ive been diagnosed for 4 years and due to lack of mobility and medication and being a big girl and junk food lover ive piled on more lbs!
I dont have a specific diet to follow im aiming to have a mixture. For hopefully 12 weeks I shall follow a similar plan to the Cambridge diet with a monthly treat and then will follow weight watchers as I ferl that will suit me better than slimming world. I've tried both sw and ww before and lost around 5st which I've put on and more!

I hope I can stick to it I really want to more than anything!!

So hello to you all and I wish you the best of luck in your new life style changes xoxo

    Hiya,

I also suffer from fibro, ive noticed now that even if I eat a small amount of food I get really bloated. I dont think I suffer with IBS but its really annoying me now lol. I follow (loosely) slimming world and have lost 3 1/2stone hoping to lose half a stone more then maintain.

Hey Shelly. WELL DONE!!! that's brilliant! I no ibs definitely comes hand in hand with fibro and I do suffer with it. Got diagnosed before the fibro. I was about 15 and my tummy would swell so bad I looked 9th pregnant! Had to have an ultrasound in the maternity unit. Arrived in my school uniform and got filthy looks! That was ten years ago nearly. Have you noticed if it's certain foods that make you bloat?? I did try slimming world and loved some of the recipes and also my consultant was brill! But I just can't cook! :-( I suffer pretty bad and most of the time I'm stuck in a wheelchair although I do have other issues with my legs that don't help. Apparently the fibro has attacked my tendons!? I do think weight watchers is brilliant also though as the microwave meals are yummy and super easy! Plus I can eat chocolate and not feel guilty haha! Xxx

Codeine is terrible for causing constipation! It may be that.... If your not pooing ok then they may give u some laxatives. It's a liquid and it actual doesn't taste to bad haha!! I prefer ww diet. It's mainly on points. So of ur a big girl like me u may get like 40 odd points a day which is brilliant because if u eat healthy you can have chocolate and still loose weight haha I didn't feel guilty doing ww like I did with sw. Because there is no off limits foods it's just about keeping within the points. One week I had 2 Mc Donalds and still lost like 4-5 lb! Plus u get a weekly point allowance so if u go out u can use some from the weekly amount which I think was around 40 when I did it. If u wana loose faster though just don't use the weekly points or any points u fain from activities. It's brilliant as it's more controlled but better... you get a better idea of portion control etc. Xxx
