Hi:

Recently reached my target of losing 25 pounds. I mainly did it to keep BP, sugar, and cholesterol in check. The older I get, the harder it is to keep them under control, even with meds.

Right now, I'm sticking with a low sugar, low carb diet to maintain. As long as I don't cheat with desserts, I'm okay.

It was so difficult to lose the 25 pounds that I don't want to do it again!

Hi. Low sugar is good but can I ask why low carb? Just curious as you are now in maintenance mode if you reached your target weight. To prevent falling off the wagon as it were, you need something that is easily sustainable. I think this is the trick to keeping the weight off. You need to approach the weight loss, and weight maintenance phases as two separate entities. Maybe try an "every other day" approach. Strict diet one day, eat normally the next day. Should make it easier to keep on track.
