Second time i have a massive journey

Hi, I'm Abbie.

I've stumbled on this forum by pure accident, I'm not 100% sure I'm supposed to be here! I've not been referred here or anything, but I joined anyway as it seems really active and has some larger people here as well which is very important to me at this point.

I have well over 10 stone to lose for the second time. I lost 10 stone 10 years ago and have put it back on and more even after having skin removal.

Before I did it for looks, this time I've proved I truly can't care about that to get this bad again, but this time it's for health. 2 pregnancies have left me with high blood pressure and 2 young children who desperately need me. I need to do this. I'm 40 in 2015.

Hello and welcome! :) Have you seen that under the heading "Slimming Clubs" there's a section specially for people with a lot to lose? It's called WEMITTs which stands for We Mean It This Time! It's a very active part of the forum, and I'm sure you'll find lots of support there if you start a diary. I had ten stone to lose myself when I joined here, and the forum has been a big help. Good luck. :) xx

I'd second that - come on over to the WeMitts section, there are lots of larger people at various stages of their weight loss. Tracy's a shiny example of what can be achieved with willpower and support. We can't give you willpower (oh, if only!) but we can give you support :)

Aww, thanks Theria, you've made me blush! You're doing blinkin' brilliantly yourself!! :) xx

Wow thank you so much for the warm welcome guys! I will definitely come over and join in with the thread mentioned, it seems I've found a really great place for me at a time I so desperately need it!

Thanks again!

You're welcome, hon - this is a great forum, it's really helped me keep focus. :) xx

Hello!
I feel your pain, I lost 10 stone 4 lbs 4 years ago and have regained almost all back since then - I have two daughters, 9 year old and a 14 month old. It is important for me too to be healthy and active and provide a good role model for them. Bring it on, we CAN do it and keep it off this time! xxx

Thanks for the suggestions!

I lost 7.5 stone about 3 years ago on LL and have regained most of it in that time. I am totally kicking myself and wish I had spent more time in the maintenance phase instead of just wanting to return to food...

Good luck and I'm here if you ever need a natter!
