Blimey! 4 stones! How will I manage that!

Hi Everyone,

I've been one of the snoopers who reads these pages but hadn't joined up til now - so here I am :) I've loved reading everyone's hints and tips and found some of them really useful, so thank you.

Hubby and I have decided to finally get shot of all the excess weight before our big family holiday next Easter. I was so up for it and felt really motivated to get things in gear and start looking forward to the slim me once and for all. However I'm now completely daunted by the task as I've realised I actually still have another 4 stone to lose!

That's a huge number isn't it!!

I don't know whether it's best to set my goal at 4 stone or look at each stone as a goal. If anyone has any advise on the best way to get my head around this, I would be really grateful.

Anyway, onwards and slimwards :)

It's nice to finally say hello to you all - I hope you'll all be nice to the new girl :)

Thanks

Mrs Welshchap

Hello Mrs Welshchap!! Welcome! Glad to see you here) you have made the right choice to start being active on the forum! I wish you good luck! And i think if you divide your 4 stones into for steps per 1 stone each it will be easier for you!;-)) Will be glad to read about your weight loss!

Thanks, both :)
Ginger - thank you for your advice, I had been thinking the same thing over the weekend, trying to think in more manageable bite sized chunks instead of one mega deal!
Week one done on WW and I'm a little disappointed that I only lost 2 lbs as I've upped my excercise 10 fold to what I had been doing before. I guess I need to concentrate a little more on the food and weigh everything to the exact weight.... roll on next week :)

Hello! don't be disappointed - every loss is great! At least you donot gain!;-)this is what i always say to myself;-) Don't lose hope and just keep going! Drink lots of water, maybe start to count calories? It helps. Good luck with your new week!

Thanks Ginger - I'm really trying at being positive and enjoying each day - and well, it worked! Last week didn't seem as though I was on a diet at all as we ate pizza, went out to dinner, have a full cooked breakfast etc, but I pointed everything and changed my cooking methods (grilling instead of frying and roasting with frylight) and this week I'm amazed to have lost 3.5lbs! That totally rocks and has boosted me no end! Think I need to move out of the intro section now :)

Thanks again

Hi MrsWelshchap!

I started WW on Saturday so I'm a newbie too! Have switched straight from slimming world though.

Hope everything is going well for you :) x
