UK new girl (Tale of a snail)

Hello everyone.
I was a serial dieter and an expert at it. Quick fix diets drew me to them like a moth to the flame. I lost the weight, it dropped off me in fact, 10lbs in a week on the Cambridge, but when I went back to normal eating the weight piled back on rapidly and added a bit more for good measure.

Last new year’s day, I took myself in hand. Ate whatever I wanted, but made myself sit down to eat it, even a sneaky biscuit (cookie) in the kitchen and I wrote down everything I ate… quite an eye opener that was. Gradually I got myself into a healthy eating routine and the weight came off slowly. If I wanted a bar of chocolate, I had a bar of chocolate. I learned to like myself and not set unrealistic targets. Holiday times I ate what I wanted and because I wasn’t fixated on losing weight I didn’t gorge.
So far I’ve lost a stone (14lbs) since January. It’s not much and I know. I’m going at a snail’s pace, but this the longest I have lost weight and kept it off.

I’m feeling a bit out on a limb now and also a bit lonely. May I join you all? I’ve no idea which group I fit into but if you’ll have me, I’m in for a long haul. I'd really love to meet people the same as me on here

This is an example of what a dingbat I am..... I meant to call myself Autumn (English version of Fall) but misspelled it and I'm stuck with the unpronounceable autunm:8855:

The nickname Autumn is already taken Im afraid :)

Hi Autunm, Noticed your comment on the Random Thought in Chit Chat.. I know it can be quite disconcerting when there's little to no response especially being a newcomer to the site... Keep posting and you'll soon find some followers.

Well done on the 14lb loss and I'm sure you'll get to your goal in no time.

Onwards and Downwards! :girlpower:
