Hello from a British Newbie! My story (It's short, I promise)

After my sister showed me the photos she took of my during my graduation, I decided it was time for a radical change in my lifestyle. On the 29th September, I took the first step- I joined an all ladies gym and installed MyFitnessPal.

Since then, I've stuck to a 1200 calorie diet and I exercise at the gym 3 days a week. I'm not taking any supplements as substitutes for food, but rather, I ensure I don't exceed recommended levels of daily sugar intake, carbs etc etc. I do snack, but choose healthier alternatives such as 10g of dark chocolate instead of half of a chocolate cheesecake. Portion control is another factor I've tried hard to implement since my new regime and so far, so good.

I joined this site to encourage myself to stick to my new regime. I sure hope I can sustain it as I have a longggg way to go before reaching my target goal.

Hope all of you are well. x

Welcome. I am also new and just made my first post (I rambled on a bit though - ha). Like you I am hoping that posting will make me stick to my regime a bit better.

Good luck to you :)

We can do this together, lass! : )

How was the gym those first weeks? I'm really nervous to go-thinking do I bite bullet or loose few pounds first..I'm not naturally sporty at all! Flipping British weather doesn't help either: cold and wet and raining combined with the old cuppa and a cake-so easy to pile it on! Best of luck and well done for going for it!
