Hi,
i am new to forum but not slimmingworld. I lost 2 stone 5 years ago. I have since started again from beginning of Jan and worked hard. I have only lost 2lbs! I have incorporated SP days too?. I am on HRT and testosterone gel for hormone treatment. Does anyone know if this is affecting my weight loss?

so nice to be able to have someone to share this with

Hi Missy! :)
I'm new to the forum, but not SW, and I've just started again too!
The 2lbs loss isn't a bad thing - it's 2lbs lighter than you were :):)
It's possible the HRT and testosterone gel could be affecting losses, but it all depends on how much you need to lose. If you've only got a small amount of weight to lose, then you may not lose as quickly as you did when you lost the 2 stone previously. But it could also be down to your diet, if you were already eating relatively healthily, your body will be used to the veg/fruit that you are still eating now.
I'm pretty much starting again, and have around 2 stone to lose to reach target, but I'm only losing 1.5-2lbs a week. But I've always been more of a slower loser. In general my diet was pretty healthy, I'd always eat veg and fruit, but with SW I've cut out all the other stuff that I used to munch on too (Kit Kat's, Twix's, crisps, etc.) so my body isn't that shocked about being back on SW.

Does that help at all?

Hi Sarah,
Yes thanks that does reassure me. I feel so much better through eating healthier and I've lost an inch or so cause clothes feel better too.

I had a hysterectomy after my last weight loss too and I suppose my body has changed a lot since then (2 years on).

i hope you get on ok are you going to class or online? I've gone for online this time :)

I can imagine that it would change your body, but you'll still get to where you want to be :) And they say that losing 2lb a week is great don't they? So don't be too concerned about the small losses (it's taken me a while to convince myself of that, but I agree now lol)
I go to a class. I'm on the social team so I log people in and take payments. I really enjoy it and it's what's kept me at group for so long, even if I did lose my way a little and I'm virtually starting agian :( But, I know I can do it, and joining the forums has given me more of a boost to keep going with it :) it's like an additional support group that I have during the week in between my classes :)
