    Hello and a question

    Hi everyone

I'm doing Avidlite at the moment, well trying to anyway because I keep falling off the wagon on the days I work. I have no problems sticking to it on the days I'm not working.

My main question is do you have to alternate up days and down days for the diet to work? Or could you do three up days followed by four down days?

Also, from knowing what I'm comfortable with I would limit my carbs on up days. Is that okay to do?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

    Ali

It's not wise to do more than one dd in a row, mainly for two reasons, your body will go into starvation mode and start clinging onto calories instead of burning them, and you'd feel really ill (faint, dizzy etc) as surviving on 500cals for any longer than one day would be really hard!! The alternate day diet does work and it's quite easy to stick to once you get into the swing of it.

    Good luck xxx

Restart 1/1/11 - I WILL do it this time, I know I can and i know my plan works, just keeping the weight off was the problem, grrrr

Yeah I have done 2 days in a row and it's quite hard, especially the morning as you probably go to bed a bit hungry so I find I wake up in the morning and I am starving...it makes the day seem way longer as you feel hungry for so much longer. Usually on down days after an up day you can usually skip breakfast and have a late lunch which makes the day so much easier.

Thank you both for taking the time to reply to me. It's much appreciated.

You've given me a few more things to think about as I try to figure out what's right for me.

    Thank you again, Ali
