    Frona's Fasting/Slimming World Diary

Decided to put everything in the one place in a diary. So I lost 3 stone and 4lbs through calorie counting...and in the last few days have managed to put 4lbs back on through lack of willpower, motivation, diet fatigue and subsequent binge eating. So I've adjusted my current weight to what it was this morning (...that really hurt!) and I'm starting fresh. My down days will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday at up to 500 calories a day. Up days are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and up to 2000 calories a day. And Sunday will be not a true down day but will be around 800 calories. I've gotten into a routine of not eating after 7pm and I don't normally eat anything till lunchtime most days and I plan on sticking to this. I'm going to try and just have one meal on a down day at around 6pm with plenty of tea, sugar free juice and water throughout the day. Today is my first down day. I feel bloated and lethargic after what I've gorged on the last few days. I have a headache and generally feel a bit off. This is down to the amount of sugar I have eaten. Seriously I have eaten bar after bar of chocolate...and lots of cake. The plan for today is 150 calories for milk for my cups of tea and I'll make some vegetable soup for later. I think if I can do today I should be ok.

First DD done. Went surprisingly well. Think that was more to do with the fact I had overeaten last few days to the point I didn't even want to look at food!!

    Today has consisted of:

    Milk/drink allowance- 100 calories
    1 x tin Baxters Chicken Broth-126 calories
    6 x Crackerbread-114 calories
    2 x light Laughing Cow-50 calories

Which gives me a total of 390 calories for the day. I didn't eat till 6pm and just had plenty of cups of tea and water. One thing I have done is pee all day long...I don't know if this is water I had been retaining??

UP day tomorrow and I'm going to calorie count it to make sure I'm not being too ridiculous. I've calorie counted for the last three months and I tend to do it automatically...even with what other people are eating!! I'm also going to weigh myself daily and keep a note of the fluctuations. If weighing becomes a problem and makes me feel anxious OH will lock scales in his car boot like he had to before when I was weighing myself about 20 times a day.

Well done on a great start! What do you have planned for a nice ud tomorrow?

i like the fact that your OH locks the scales in the car! I have asked my OH to hide ours before, but he was useless, I could always find them.

re the all- day peeing....when you break down glycogen from your liver, water is released as that is what it is stored with. Hence the usually larger weight loss at the start of diets. In juddd you repeatedly deplete and refill the glycogen stores in your liver....be sure to be near the loo on dds if it affects you a lot!

    Enjoy your ud.

Ha ha re the scales, good plan! I don't seem to have that problem, I just get shivers looking at them and step on them as little as I can (once a week usually).

I like the sound of your dd. Sometimes its nice to feel like you've eaten a lot of something so 6 crackerbreads sounds like a good plan, I'm going to get some.

Enjoy your up day tomorrow, sounds like you're getting to grips with it all.

OH kept scales in his boot for 3 weeks. I threw tantrums any toddler or teenager would have been proud of...foot stamping, door slamming, insult hurling and tears. Normally he is so easy going but he put his foot down and said I wasn't getting them back till I'd got things in proportion. I was obsessing over half a pound and not looking at the fact I was losing weight. Now I just leave them sitting next to the front door when I feel I'm getting too OCD about weighing and he takes them away for a few days.

Crackerbread and Laughing Cow have been part of my daily diet the last three months. I stopped eating bread as I could eat a sandwich in two seconds flat but found eating crackers took more time and chewing and therefore somehow felt more satisfying even though it was the same amount of calories.

Tomorrow's UP is going to be making a home made curry. I haven't had one in three months as with only 1200 calories as I was doing things it was too calorie heavy. I'm going to make a chicken and vegetable tikka masala. Am drooling at the thought. Think my UP days will be being able to cook all my favourites again. Love cooking!

Tomorrow is also going to be clothes shopping. Three months ago I was a size 22/24....and I'm still wearing the same clothes despite losing 3 stones. I look like a bag lady or a sack of potatoes tied in the middle!! Nothing fits. I've been putting money I would have spent on junk, sweets, chocolate and takeaways away each week. Unbeknown to me OH has been putting the same amount aside as well as a present for doing so well. So tomorrow I shop!! So looking forward to clothes that fit. Might also have a Starbucks when I'm out!

Thanks to everyone for all their kind words and support.

UD today but all I've had is a cup of tea so far as I never feel hungry in the morning.

    Daily Weigh In:

    Monday - 217.4lbs
    Tuesday- 214.2lbs post DD

I'm sure that's just the amount I peed yesterday!

Soup and crackers for lunch and then hitting the shops. I'm excited to see what size I fit into now!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Well done! Your OH sounds fantastic for his extra cash on clothes! Shopping is a fantastic feeling, I booked a debenhams personal shopper and made her hunt the sales! It's free! Try it as a wee treat, if you don't like what she brings you, you don't have to buy it!
I intend to do this in feb once I get to my final weight..

I threw all the clothes out that didn't fit me when we moved house last year. It depressed me looking at them! All I kept was a pair of size 12 jeans...my goal jeans.

Got practically a whole new wardrobe of clothes. Was tiring but a lot of fun. Have gone from a size 22/24 to a 18/20 on top and a 16/18 on bottom so I'm well pleased. Wish all shops were consistent with their sizes...Next has to be one of the worst. The same shirt but in different colours...one fitted one didn't. Best part of day was probably getting a new coat. Have been wearing a size 24 one for the last few months and today I got a size 18. Makes me feel smaller when I look in the mirror cause it fits for once!

Curry was good. Have really struggled since I had it though. Feel really guilty about what I've eaten today. Have stayed under my 2000 calorie limit but I think because I've been on 1200 for so long I feel like I have failed because I've eaten more. And I know it's daft because I only ate 390 yesterday!! That's the whole point of this way of eating and is why it appealed to me. I just feel really emotional about it for some reason, that I'm going to end up putting the weight on again.

WOW what a fab sounding day.

I think a lot of people who have come from very restrictive diets have struggled at first with feeling bad for eating but i think the more you do it and when the weight starts to come off it just feels right :-)

I bought most things to mix and match with each other so ended up only spending what I had put aside. Didn't need to buy new bras as my boobs refuse to shrink a single bit! Don't know what to do with OH's money that he gave me? Maybe get my hair done? Will need to get a few bits and pieces to wear for social things for over Christmas but don't want to spend too much money when I hope to keep shrinking. Have bagged up all my old clothes to take to the textile bank already!

    Today has consisted of:

    6 x Crackerbread - 114 calories
    2 x Light Laughing Cow-50 calories
1 x tin Pea and Ham soup - 284 calories!.. for a tin of soup!! Last time OH gets let loose with the shopping
    5 x Vegi Deli Sage + Onion Slices - 117 calories
1 x Sour Cream and Chive Hula Hoops- 127 calories
    1 x Toffee Crisp Biscuit - 99 calories
    Home made Curry- 700 calories
    Milk/Drink allowance - 150 calories
    1 x W/W chocolate Brownie Dessert-167 calories
    1 x 37g packet Maltesers - 187 calories

Which gives me a total of 1995 for the day.

I did feel really miserable when I added it all up but like Derbynanny said it's the switch of plan that's making me a bit emotional. Crying over Maltesers is really silly!! It's been a stressful week or two so I'm sure things will settle down when I get into the swing of it...fingers crossed.
