Started 27th December and the aim is to lose 4 stone! Second DD is going well and I am hoping I lose the 3lbs I put on over Christmas this week so at least I start 2013 at the same weight I was at the beginning of 2012.

I'll report my progress at the end of 6 days!

Cheers,

Couldn't resist a sneaky weigh in this morning and 4lbs have gone already. Now I know this is fluid, but boy does it make me feel better!

Hi, Welcome to JUDDD and well done on getting off to a flying start!!!! If you have not done JUDDD before then prepare yourself for a roller coaster ride on the scales if you like to daily weigh! It tends to fluctuate a lot.

Good luck JUDDDing! I look forward to seeing how you get on. It's certainly not like any other diet ;)

Good luck!! Im sure you will grow to love judding....I have never loved any other diet and I have done most of them!!

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for calling by, I was starting to feel lonely, lol!
Up Day today but being careful. I need a good start.
Will keep you posted.

Week one completed and I have lost 5 lbs so I am happy!

I haven't found it too difficult. On DD I fast until dinner when I have a WW meal with lots of added veg. Then I have an apple before I go to bed or I wake hungry during the night. I drink lots of Volvic water. I have been sensible on UD except for New Year's Day when I did indulge.

Hoping next week will go well.

I'm finding I don't feel the need to eat excessively in Up Days which is really good. In fact the treats I promise myself I am finding I don't bother with, so in that respect I really like this regime.

However I am feeling really tired and lethargic. Now in the book it said people experience increased energy levels so I am wondering at what point this kicks in?????

I found for the first few weeks I was really tired in the evenings now I would say my energy levels are much the same on either day although I usually go to bed just a little bit earlier on a down day. Well done on the weightloss.

Thanks Daisymae2,

Energy is still low but I hope it improves.

Why is it that on an UD I just don't feel like eating? I don't know whether it is because I am worried I will put the weight back on that I lost on a DD and make the whole process a waste of time or if my body is just getting used to having less. When I was young I never had a weight problem but I ate very little as food just didn't interest me. I'm just going to plod on and see what happens.

Hey SilverSlimmer, congrats on your first weight loss, keeping my fingers crossed I can do similar. I know what you mean about UD's, this is only my first UD and I've found it quite hard to consume many calories with the healthy food in the cupboards lol, at least it stops me going overboard I guess =P xxx

Hi LifesDesire,
You are already very slim, but good luck with your weight loss.

Yesterday evening I ate, I just needed to sin. I consoled myself with the fact it was an UD. Today I am back on the straight and narrow I hope. I don't want to start feeling guilty when I am eating normally though.

Yesterday was an UD and I wasn't hungry and had to make myself eat. Today is a DD and I am tired and fed up and I want to eat. 7 hours to my food for the day. It is going to be hard going.

The DD's really do get easier I promise....I prefer them to the Ud's tbh and I never thought I would say that!!

You have just learnt how important one of the only rules JUDDD has...eat all your calories. If you don't eat well enough on an UD, your body cannot cope with the DD. Also perhaps you need to split your 500 cals up a little and not save them all for one meal. a cup of homemade or skinny soup at lunchtime which is under 100 calories could be the difference between success or failure! I personally find 3 small meals on a DD keeps me happier, but you need to experiment with this.

Thanks for the support and good advice. I am still feeling my way into this. I have got through the day but it was sheer determination. I think the problem was not eating enough yesterday so tomorrow I am going to make sure I have enough, although I hate eating if I am not hungry. I'll think about spreading the DD calories out over the day but usually I find it easier to stick to liquids rather than eat a little, that just makes me feel hungry!

I have just done my week 2 weigh in and have lost another 2 lbs so I am really happy. That is the first half stone gone in under 2 weeks as I weighed in a day early to avoid a weigh in after a UD. I am expecting it to slow down now but I am definitely keeping JUDDDing!
