8 hour window, thoughts plz
What are ppl's thoughts on the 8 hour window , have done the ADD and had good results but find I have really bad habits on up days and eating too much junk, has anyone lost by doing this daily, fasting 16 and eating for 8? Would love to hear your thoughts !! Ty

Hi Claire, I don't think any of the regulars are following a regime like this, mainly because after a few weeks of JUDD it seems to pan out that for weight loss 4:3 on full UD/DD gives better overall losses. A few of us tried Fast 5 for a bit, but the losses were not good and it's possible to way overeat in the window, also it means you are on a diet every day which just isn't flexible enough for most I'd say. The issue I would have with 16/8 is that 16 hours is really about the absolute minimum fasting time you need to get the body into burning fat instead of glucose/glycogen and I clearly saw that on 19/5, 3 hours fat burning per day just didn't yield the same results as 4:3.
What sort of losses have you been getting?

Week 8 Off birthday/Cairo trip
Week 9: +2.65 (oops bad girl, but not bad for 2.5 weeks off!!)
Week10: -1lb
Week 11: -1.87 lbs
Week 12: sts
Week 13-19 Gained 16lbs, thats hotel living for you!, restart 13.7 bloody hell!
Week 20: -6.6lbs

Ty for your reply, not tried it just googling it last night, tried 4:3 for a while and my losses stopped, would lose in the week and gain it back at the weekend 2 up days, stuck to 500/2000
Perhaps indeed to tweak it maybe

Hi again, I think we do all suffer from the weight bounces after weekends, thats why I'm only weighing in at the end of the week after my last DD now, I was daily weighing before and it was wrecking my head.
tweaking, now you are talking my language LOL!! If you can stick to it, and it might stop you having too much rubbish as well, you could try the split day fast from say 5pm to 5pm, but it means you stop munching at 5pm one day, eat NO CALORIES AT ALL until 5pm the next day, gives you 24 hours fasting and good fat burning time as well, it's like combining your window with a good fasting session as well I suppose

I know for me i could eat as much in 8 hours as most people do in 24 so wouldn't work for me, but everyone is different, as for gaining on the weekend like lanarkwitch says everyone does but it is only a problem if the overal trend isnt down.

Ty think I will start alternates again, 24 hour fast sounds tough, only 11.00am and all I can think of is food lol
