Hi All,
I've been reading thru your posts on the diet vut notice there doesnt seem to be too many recent entries - are there many of you out there still on it and if so how you getting on? I've been on LT and want to switch to something abit more social and less severe - can easily follow 500 cal for a dd, was thinking I would use up my LT shakes for a dd, would this be ok? any advice woul dbe appreciated as I have about 3 stone to lose and I want to get it gone as fast as i can without totally depriving myself Thanks all xxxxx:)

Hi, I've been doing Juddd for about 10 days now and have lost 11lbs but that was arter a bad spell of eating! I'm finding it easier than anything else to stick to but don't know what the losses would be ike coming from lipotrim.
I've been watching this forum since I started and it has been very quiet so I don't know if there are any other Juddders out there lol.

Hi Malluda
Thanks for your reply - 11lb is great, wow id be more than happy with that - think i'll definately give it a go. LT losses are great but the deprevation to hard to handle and the fact its so unsociable is hard too. I think I have the book her for JUDD but if not do you recommend buying the book or is it really as easy as 500cal of less on DD and whatever you want, withon reason on up day? Im going to use my 3 x LT shakes for DD as thats easy for me. Any tips would very much be appreciated. Thanks xxx

I haven't got the book I just eat what I want on up days and try to keep to about 350 on down days which I haven't found too hard. Theres a calculator on the JUDDD website that'll tell you what calories you should be on. Good luck x

Hi
yes it does seem quiet but I'm going to give this a go - started today and not too bad so far on a DD - looking forward to eating normally tomorrow! :)

hi,

I did this diet a couple of months ago - and lost over half a stone - although i fell off the wagon and put it all back on and some more. I've decided to started again today on a Down day.
I think planning our meals is essential - i always have a weight watches / low fat\cal meal for my evening meal. maybe a salad or weight watches can of soup for lunch.
It makes you feel so much less bloated and stodgy!
good luck!

i seem to be doing ADD since Weds this week, I say seem to be as I didn't plan it that way lol. I have tried JUDDD/ADD but never managed to stick to it for more than 2 days, the 'up day' just went on and on lol.

I am still unsure whether to commit to it fully but think i should.

Heya!

As far as I know - from posts I have read - people don't seem to stick JUDDD-ing for very long. It is not an easy diet, as you are finding out. I think it does work over time but the down days are tough particularly when you've had around four times as much food on each of the up days!

I had a go at it a few months back but have been tempted to give it another crack! But as you can tell this thread isnt exactly buzzing with people on the same plan to help you through rough bits and i think thats where i trip up.

You interested in JUDDD? I'm up for it if u are :D

Yes, I noticed! I don't understand why, seems like such a brilliant plan! But like any other diet, so hard if you don't have someone to talk to!

I have been doing eat stop eat, very similar to JUDDD, only difference is that you fast for 24h so on the "down day" you eat nothing at all.

But let's do it!!! :) Have you got lots to lose? I have about 6st as I want to be around 9 st 10 lb hence I have been taking more drastic measures ;-) x

eat stop eat is something that ive noticed over the last few days, whats it like?

i like doing JUDDD but once i fell off the wagon, well that was it for me, i just couldnt get back on it. but it DID work, but then i was exercising a lot too at the time so no doubt that had something to do with the weight loss i had.

i started off at 16st 12 lbs wanting to get down to 9 stone, im currently 16 st 4 so have just over 7 stone to lose, so pretty similar numbers-wise to you :) x

It really depends what sort of a person you are. I am very much an all or nothing girl which means I am happy to eat nothing or next to nothing one day if I can eat alright the following day. I am actually enjoying feeling a bit hungry?! Makes my tummy flat and I like it haha.
That is why I am not keen on every day calorie counting ie 1200. It's not really enough and you constantly have to count something.

Very good, we can start together with similar numbers and compare how we get on! Even better to have someone in a similar position as well! You think you can jump back on? :) x

hehe i kind of like the 'empty' feeling too, i suppose when ur trying to lose weight its a sign that you havent gone wrong

yes ive tried the 1200 a day thing, its annoying to think 'oh ive had some toast and a cup of tea for breakfast, a little bit of soup for lunch and ive already used up half my calories for the day', very frustrating!

i think i could get going back on JUDDD again, when are u thinking of starting? x

Yes, exactly. So much hassle and much more like to fall off the wagon because of it!
Well yesterday was actually my first 24h fast day, today I have been eating normally. Also, I am trying to put the down days on days when I am working next week which is tue-thur so I wanna do a down day on sun, eat Monday, down Tue, eat Wed, down again on Thursday etc.

So we can eat tomorrow! Ready?! :p x

sounds good to me! im out in town tomorrow with my mum so i know i'd trip up if i tried to have it as a down day

do u do any exercise? x

Good, so you can enjoy your day out with mum without worrying about dieting, have fun!

I am trying to get into exercise. I bought this running app on my iPhone where in 9 weeks you should be able to run 5k. You run 3 times a week, and start by running for 1 min then walking 1.5, then running again and you do that 8 times. And every week it gets a bit longer. I started but then stopped so I wanna do that properly again!

What about you?

ive heard about that, c25k isnt it? i wanted to have a go but the doctor said if i tried to run anywhere my knee wouldnt hack it, so im terrified i'll run a few steps and then collapse in a heap, crying and clutching onto my knee lol

ive been told that things like swimming and cycling would be the best exercise for me as theres no pressure on my knee, but im skint and since swimming is 4quid a pop (and i'd want to go at least twice a week) that comes to at least 32quid a month, and right now i cant afford it. damn student life eh lol but i do have an exercise bike, so i really need to start going on that. right now i only use it to put my clothes on it : / hehe whoops

ive got 2 dogs so take them for walks, but theyre collies and really energetic, so when i take them out they sometimes pull a lot which makes my knee twist and its bloody agony :(

Yeah, that's the one! When I started I did pretty slow running! It gets easier but I see what you mean about your knee, best to be careful!
But even if you just go for walks without the dogs so you can take it easy it will help loads! The more weight you have on you the more calories your body will burn so even slow walks for you will do more for us than like people who only have 1 st to lose. I've been thinking of trying to do Zumba but its pretty hard to find time when I am not either with kids, at work or doing studying (I do part time open university).

Let's try and do even simple walking at least twice a week, it's free and it's better than nothing :) x

you're right about walking, and i do like free stuff lol

from what ive heard, zumba is pretty hardcore. a mate of mine does it on the wii and has been watching what shes been eating, and shes lost over a stone in a month. it makes u sweat but is apparently really good

yes lets go walking, its frustrating though cuz when i do get in the mood to exercise (rare but it does happen occasionally lol) then i want to give it 150% but i also know that i need to come at this from a 'slow and steady' angle if i want to stand a chance of doing it properly. i mean i could probably starve myself for a week and sit on my exercise bike all day and do aerobics or something but i know full well that i'd pack all the weight back on within a few days of eating 'normally' again.

so, slow, steady, progressive weight loss is the way to go for me, but using JUDDD to boost my confidence and my motivation along the way :)

went to town with mum, had a pastie for lunch nom nom nom nommmmmmm but we were walking for hours so i think that pretty much cancelled out eating the pastie

how long have u got left on ur course? how was ur up day :D x
