    Reached goal on JUDDDD

After lots of ups and downs I have finally made it, scales said 9st7lbs dead this morning. I am proud to have done it, I'm not sure if anyone else on the JUDDDD thread actually got there, so I may be the first and am currently the last since there is noone else here!

It has taken a long time, I started back in June and my total loss has only been 12lbs, but when you take into account holidays, meals out, no DDs on weekends etc it is not so bad.

So maintenance begins today, although it doesn't honestly feel much different, I'll still be having a DD - just with a few more calories.

Thank you both, I am really happy for myself but also for others to see that it can be done. Staying here shouldn't be too hard (crossing fingers, touching wood etc) as it is basically a continuation of what I've been doing for months.

Thanks Lynn. I'm sure you'll find the diet for you, it really does seem to be a case of trying everything until one clicks, I went through quite a few myself.

    Congratulation to you Claire

Its always nice to read that someone has reached their traget weight, whatever way they chose to do it. You definitely sound like you have a positive frame of mind, which will be great for you as you maintain.

    Well done! x

Thanks Kirsten, I definitely took the long way round to get here but maintaining doesn't seem difficult with this diet. Or so I say now, perhaps I'll feel different after Christmas!

You'll be fine Claire, I have the faith in you and in JUDDD. I think you have carved out a very sensible track to stay in and the joy of Juddd is you can overindulge and then cut right back. It sounds liek it's really suiting you.

Are you UPD on Christmas and Boxing and then DDing?

Barb, I'm hoping to just have an UD on Christmas day and DD for boxing day, which is never a big deal in our household. We're invited out on the 27th so I think it will work best this way. Now that DDs are 1000 calories I can be quite flexible with them, a rogue mince pie doesn't mean starvation for the rest of the day. Will you still be recording your food over Christmas?

Thanks Karion, it seems to be working OK so far. I'm trying to wean myself off the scales by weighing every two or three days and hoping to stretch it to weekly. That would be a major achievement for me. JUDDD lends itself very well to maintenance, although the Christmas extras may mean I have to cut down again in the New Year. But that's the same as most people do, I imagine. My blood pressure is officially perfect so I'm very satisfied with that, whether the weight loss or the side effects of JUDDD are responsible I will never know.
