Resveratrol anyone?

As this suppliment is advertised on the Johnsons up day down day website, was wondering if anyone else was using it?
Was wondering if it helps with the weight loss alongside the diet?

Thanks

Hi, I was considering the same, it is very expensive and I wasn't sure if it was worth it. I then read the below thread and ordered some pterostilbene the Jarrow brand as mentioned in the thread.
It is much cheaper and according to some of the posters, many have had very good results.

I ordered mine from Amazon and unfortunately it is posted from America so I haven't received it yet and won't for a few weeks so can't say what the results would be for me. I know the thread is a long one but you may find it interesting.

Thanks for your replies, I've managed to get some cheaper on Amazon, not sure if they'll help but I'll give it a go!

I actually got the pterostilbene earlier than I thought on Monday and I have been taking one in the morning. It is so hard to know for sure if it is them or the fact that Monday it had been two weeks doing JUDDD and I have read that is how long it takes for the siret1 (?) to kick in but I definitely have more energy and less of an appetite. I noticed it immediately on the Monday.

I have been quite hungry on DD's until now and today is the second of my DD and I have had nothing at all to eat for the two days and I am OK. Didn't think I could do it but have been less hungry today that other normal DD's. Would love to hear from others to see if this just happens after two weeks or if it is indeed the pterostilbene. The way I am feeling I do not want to risk not taking one at the moment. Perhaps in a few weeks I can experiment and not take them to see if I feel different. But all I can say if it is the tablets I do recommend them. :)

It will be interesting to see how I feel tomorrow on an UD particularly after two DD and see if I can finally have a normal one.

I have been on the resveratrol for a week now, I've also noticed a loss of appetite, I think it may help with that, don't think you lose any faster, but if it takes away the hunger then that makes a difference. Lost a pound and half this week so my loss is slowing. Still, better than losing nothing :)

I have had some pterostilbene arrive today and have taken one and will take one a day from now on....it will be very interesting to see how it goes.....I will keep you informed!!

Jacci48, do please let us know. It appears you have only been on JUDDD for a few weeks like me, I hope we both don't think it is the tablets when it is actually the the siret 1 kicking in after doing it for two weeks! I will be very interested to see how you get on with them over the next few days.

I had my UD today after two DD's and it was much better. I wasn't that hungry today and did very well until dinner (and after). So even though I notice a big difference they still aren't helping me with my binging mentality on UD's. So won't be weighing tomorrow.

P.S. wanted to use a few smileys in places and they no longer work for me.

Well a little update!
2 weeks on the resveratrol and although i lost 1.5 pounds last week, the best thing is the lack of hunger. None at all, even on a down day. Struggle to eat on an up day, but making sure i get those ud calories in :)
See if it helped when i weigh on Sat morning.

Ive been taking pterostilbene for just under a week, I take 1 50mg every morning. I dont know if its psycholgical but my DD today was an absolute peice of cake....no hunger at all!! I dont seem to have any extra energy though. This week I havent been able to sleep at all after an UD, dont know if anyone else has found that. Im going to keep taking the tabs and see how I go but today was deffo the DD from heaven!!

Going to looking to this , sounds good but have to be careful what i take as having problems with my liver and pancreas so will have a good read x

Well my lack of hunger has helped me lose 4 pound this week, can't be sure if its the resveratrol or not, but even a placebo is better than nothing, and its supposed to turn on that 'skinny' gene Dr Robinson goes on about.

Just ordered some from amazon . Life extension brand health benefits see really good too

I have read about it and wondered. Might get me to Amazon and have a thunk!

Wow 4lbs! Regardless if it is the tablets or not that is an amazing drop in a week. Well done! Keep us posted on how you get on with them. If you see another 4lb drop next week I may switch my pterostilbene for the resveratrol or at least take both. :)

I could be wrong but perhaps someone can correct me but I think the pter is the ingredient in the resv that does the work? I still can say that I can tell they are working and would not want to stop the pter but would be interested to know if or what the difference is.

Thank you Mummy2beslim, that is very interesting. Disappointed that they didn't mention anything about weight loss or the SIRT 1 though. Even on my bottle the only thing it says is it's a calorie restriction mimic. Very interesting about the health benefits though.
