1st day

Hi Everyone, so today is my first day on a dd and believe it or not after telling my oh he has decided to do it with me so hopefully that will make it a lot easier. We got weighed this morning (ouch!!). I dont think using the slim fast option on a dd will work so after seeing a recommendation on here for a morrisons soup I went a bought a fridge full!! I need to eat real food a bar or shake wont satisfy me and I will still be within my calorie allowance Have other people done this?

Spend your calories however you like - I prefer real food too :D

Thanks Pauline, I feel really excited about this way of dieting. I have always got bored in this past, doing really well they spectacually falling off the wagon!! Am hoping having one down but then one up day will work for me. And its a perfect day for soup where I am all foggy and cold.

Looking forward to getting to know all the other judderers on here too xx
 
HI welcome. Good luck with your first down day. I prefer food as well, and usually save all my cals for the evening and then have a proper meal with the family. It's hard at first not eating all day but you get used to it :)
 
cheers Im sure I will, it cant be so hard when you know you can eat normally the next day. I will just have to make myself busy busy busy x
 
Today is my first day as well, I've eaten all my cals already and plan to fast now till tomorrow, I have a feeling that is what will suit me best, but if not I can always change. Enjoy your day:)
 
Im glad Im not the only one starting today. I didnt have breakfast (never bothered about eating early on in the day) going to have half a tub of soup for lunch and a low fat microwave meal for tea which makes up 446 cals and the rest 50 im using for milk . going to DD Mon Wed and Fri and see what happens!!
 
Hello, my first day too! I'm also starting on a DD and so far I've had 150 cals and trying to save the rest for dinner (I'm a night eater so I think I'll do better if I eat later in the day) :) Good luck all!

Great to see some new starters good luck to you all, you all sound like you have it planned which is the way to do a DD, I love Fresh soup and am on a DD today too so have just had 1/2 pot of New York Skinny soup - Butternut squash variety and it was yummy x
 
Hey ive started today too :) im starting my first dd today with real food! But i might try slim fast shakes and bars a few days just to see how i get on. Good luck in ur journey :) x
 
Ok first DD disaster, so today is now an UD and I've learnt eating all my calories before 11 was not such a good idea. So first DD tomorrow instead, which is probably better because I am working tomorrow so it will be easier.

I think once we've been doing this for a while it'll be easier. Tomorrow's another day, you can do it! :)

When I read your post above I wondered how you might get on, anything goes with a DD but most people either eat their calories across the day or later in the day. You've got the right attitutde though to learn from it and carry on. I barely get hungry at all on a DD now despite always being a "must have breakfast" kind of girl but by the time tea time comes I'm starvvvvvving :eek: so have all my calories in one meal.
 
Hi All. Just did day 1 ; started dd at 5pm last night. Then banana for breakfast (100) 5 crisp breads (100) laughing cow (50) and the special k new biscuits (100). Then ss milk. Has been quite easy. Bit busy all day at work so distracted.
Just has a sarnie now. Hooray. DD done!
 
Well done that's fab a lot of people seem to really struggle on their first down day. Hope that you enjoy your UP day today I'm sure you will. takes a little while to get used to being able to eat normally again.
 
hi everyone, well yesterday went ok and today is my first up day. and so far ive had 890 calories and feel stuffed! its quite hard as Ive dieted for that long my brain is programmed to think everything should be low fat minimum calories. The thing is it hasnt worked for me cos years later Im still dieting aargh. Just keeping my fingers crossed that Juddding is the way for me x
 
If you need to bump up your cals and you can't physically eat more, then add some mayo or cook with olive oil is a good way. Olive oil is good for you but still quite a lot of cals for a small amount. Pour it on salads or cook with it :) Do try and eat all your cals though, it will help you get through your next DD as well as give the calorie difference between the two days that is important with JUDDD. x
 
def eat ur up cals girl!!!! please I am on a down day and it's not worth it unless I know UP days are for eating
