Hi All
I've literally just started I'm working my way through the book! I'm keeping it quiet from family and friends because I can't cope with another failed attempt at dieting but I do feel so excited by this plan! I really feel this is the plan for me, until recently I've had great results with slimming world and slim and save but I can't stand to starve again on S&S and the choice on SW is to much I'm over eating so JUDDD seems a perfect fit for me! I started yesterday on my first dd I found it very easy :) but I want to double check, are yhe dd's supposed to be 12hours or 24? I did 24hours yesterday and doing 24 today am I doing it right? Sorry for the ramblings above lol!

Hi and welcome to JUDDD.

The answer is 'it depends'.... we all do it a little bit differently.

I do my days form waking up to going to sleep cos I find it easier. Others do something I find terrifyingly organised, I'll let them post it!

So I wake up on a Down Day and know that until I go to sleep I have 500kcals to eat. I drink tea and miso soup during the day as I find that a small meal makes me hungry. Then I eat an almost normal tea at night. Go to bed and wake up and eat whatever I fancy.

That means that from about 7pm on an Up Day when I eat tea I don't eat again until about 6 or 7pm the next night, so that's 24hours. If I am not hungry on a Down Day (and that happens more often than you might think) I won't eat until about 10am the next day, about 40 hours of fasting.

Basically I just let it happen - but that has taken a few months to get to.

I think what we all find is that you do eventually find your own way to make it doable, the book is a guide and we all jiggle it round a bit to suit our own lives and preferences.

Good luck with your JUDDD journey :)

I dont count hours, when I wake up to when I go to bed, thats my day, UD or DD. I also eat whenever I want to eat but on a DD I tend to eat just one meal at dinner around 6pm though I know other people do super small snacks throughout the day for their DD's.
I believe in doing strict rotations sticking to the UD/DD/UD/DD etc every day.
There are many ways of doing this diet, you can easily fit it around your lifestyle. Some people do double DD's and/or UD's some do medium days to adjust the cycle because of family get togethers or birthdays or whatever.
Its very flexible.
I've been doing it for 3 weeks (my next weigh in is tomorrow) and I lost 3lb a week for the 1st 2 weeks, some people lose more.
I love JUDDD, the DD's are great I love not having to think about food and UD's are great too coz you get to eat anything you want! every other day! (in reason:))
Welcome to JUDDD!

I don't stick to time limits I just go with the flow. I don't really eat after 8pm anyway, sometimes on an UD my latest will be 10pm but after that I wait until the next day and eat when hungry which can sometimes be late afternoon.

Thanks you everyone! I figured it was perhaps a trial and error thing! Well I'm going to have my days as I have been as in 1 full 24hour day! I've been having S&S products to help me then I don't have to think about food! I found it easy yesterday but today I'm getting ketosis systems which isn't ideal I don't want to do a vlcd I need something long term so I may have to eat something carby to stop it happening sooooo looking forward to my up days tomorrow and sunday :)
