FAO Hannatta or anyone who can help! (Question about Fasting start times?)

Hi!

Hope you don't mind (Hannata) but I saw your 'schedule' on another post and wanted to ask a question!

I've decided to give the diet a go after reading an article in the paper at the weekend. I find it incredibly difficult restricting myself on a daily basis, so I'm hoping (praying) this might be the answer. So far I've had one dd and this is my first up day. Struggling a bit already as have 'the guilt' about eating and it just feels wrong, but peservering with it!

So basically my question is that I see you start fasting from 5pm and then until 5pm the next day, is that effective and does it matter? I don't know why but I assumed it had to be morning through till next morning, but your way seems a lot more do-able. When I think about it my last food was on sunday at 9 pm, then all day monday was dd and I didn't eat again (apart from my 500 cals) until this morning at 7.30 am which effectively was 34 hr fast.

Did I do it wrong?

No you didn't do it wrong. BTW there isn't really a wrong. Everyone does what works for them, thats the best thing about this way of eating. I'm reluctant to call it a diet as its just a way of life for me now even though my weight loss on the scales is minimal.

The way Hannata does it works out that your DD is 24 hours but if you do it on a daily basis i.e. midnight to midnight then it does work out that you actually fast for longer. Its all about finding what works for you. The way Hannata does it means you never have a full day where your eating is restricted (or none at all if you are truely fasting). So for example you might be fasting for the equivalent of breakfast and lunch but as long asyou have your evening meal after 5pm (in Hannatas example) yo uare now on an up day. On Tuesday you are still on your up day until 5pm which is when your DD starts. You can either start eating according to your allotted calories or fast.

Doing this way of eating Hannatas way might be easier for those who want to truelly fast as you never go a whole "day" without eating.

As I said I have my DDs on actual full days, I don't do true fasting but Ido eat all my calories in one meal at tea time so I literally fast from all food for around 22 hours before my max 500 calorie meal.

Hope I haven't complicated things.

Not at all thanks so much. Good to know theres not a set in stone way of doing things. This truly can be a way of life then!
