    5:2 diet and Weight Watchers

    Hi all,

I did Judd a while ago for a few weeks and loved it, but didn't really lose that much (TBH I think I went OTT on my Up days!)

So I'm now doing Weight Watchers, but after seeing Michael Mosely on BBC news this week and ordering his 'The fast Diet' book, I want to combine the two of them. And I just wanted to ask - Does anyone else do this?

I'm planning on having Mon and Thursday as DD (500 cals) then following WW on other days (with perhaps a few more PPs on the days following DDs)

Sound ok? I'll start it when I get the book - it's due mid week I think

    Week 1: 3lbs loss

    Week 2: Stayed same
(away for weekend where I ate loads, so a SS is good for me!!)
    Week 3: 1.5lbs loss

    Hi slim!

A big part of this diet is having the 'swing' from DD into much higher calorie on an UD ...... That is what kicks starts the slimming process. If you are trying to incorporate it with WW just be careful you aren't just calorie counting ...... The ADF method is less likely to work.

I have done This diet for a few months now and lost 2 stone , I achieved my best losses when I didn't calorie count on my UD's ...... But I'm sure others will have had a different experience as well.

I would recommend either doing WW or JUDDD to get the most from each - they are very different lifestyle plans and in my opinion don't really go together.

Good luck with whatever you do, fingers crossed for some good losses

If you mean going to WW for weigh ins because they help you stay on track, do it! go to the weigh ins, pretend you're following plan but actually do 5:2, if you've not lost weight or you've gained I'm sure there's something in the week from an UD that you could say "aww, well, we went out and had pizza, back on track next week"

But I completely understand where you're coming from, I started slimming world, loved the diet and the people but temporarily tried a couple other diets whilst there, they don't know you're not following the diet but you do get the support you need x

Thank you - yes that's what I mean. I know I'll go off track without the ritual humilation of getting weighed!

    thanks again

aye just tell em yer doing ww, and follow the 5:2/juddd plan. Nothing wrong with that. When I went to weightwatchers most of them were still doing the old vintage points plan, that's no different!
