How to control eating on UD

Hi! I am new here. I have been on JUDD for few months. I still stuggle with overeating on UD. Sometime by 1500 cal. I have no problem eating 300-500 on DD. Any tips? Thank you!!!!
 
Hi, this is a big problem for me too. I have only just got my UD's under control by staying away from carbs. Bread and particularly sweets set me off. I went back to Dukan but using JUDDD and slowly started introducing carbs but trying to eat healthier and am losing well. Good luck.
 
Same here, not quite going back to Dukan but trying to make my Ud's more protein and healthy with nuts, peanut butter, fruit, veg and meats.. :) and pre-planning days as well, but allowing my Saturdays not to count.. Sundays are my worst days!
 
Hiya! I have been doing JUDDD since the beginning of Dec. I have just started combining it with fast-5 where I only eat within a 5 hour window. I am still keeping to the 500/2000 rules. I will let you know how it goes but I am finding that there is only so much you can eat in 5 hours!! :)
 
Well I had a complete and utter binge all day yesterday. I couldn't even begin to calculate the number of calories I had. So it is back to very low Dukan style carb for me. :(
 
Must admit Slim I'm trying the same thing this week for a couple says to rid me of sugar cravings.. two high protein/low carb days ..
 
DeeCe, third day today being a DD and so far have only had protein but feeling a little more in control now. Just cannot seem to control my binging once I start introducing carbs so I know it will be back if I do but feel I just can't live on protein the rest of my life. Would love to hear how others that have binge problems manage it on JUDDD.
 
I struggle with this also, some days are better than others. I've actually gained weight since starting JUDDD because of this but I love this WOE so I won't give up. Oddly though, my measurements have remained pretty much the same even though I'm now a stone heavier (lost that stone on a VLCD before JUDDD) so my clothes are still fitting etc.

I feel like if I could get my overeating in hand I would have properly cracked it!

Don't give up - some people are combining SW with this. If you have issues over eating it may just be the wrong diet for you at the moment. I'm doing 5.2 and having to count on the 5 days to make sure I don't go over.
 
I am lucky. I started atkins first and lost 30 lbs with it.

But it gave me a great way to eat.

heavy carbs/refined sugar are the enemy. I don't care what plan you are on, those are the bad boys.

if you can allow a few of them into your UP day then ok. But know your trigger foods. I know what I can and can't ever let back into my life.

go heavier protein and good fats. they are very satisfying meals. you don't 'hunt' for food as much as that and you aren't monkeying with the sugar levels and cravings after.

I just started Juddd. One thing I know the first 2 UP days were out of control. I thought I could 'have it all' NO YOU CAN'T. You have to KNOW YOU. KNOW what you are capable of eating and what you must avoid and then allow some of the extras in to make ya happy and enjoy eating.


When I tracked every single calorie on my UP day is when it became clear to me that JUDDD will only work if you eat properly. the DOWN day is great for calorie deficit but if you apply sound and healthy eating to the UP day the benefit is greatly increased.

remember the UP day must be worked. worked hard like any old healthy eating plan. hope some of this helps you :) I know I am still working my way thru it all also
 
Thanks guys I totally agree with what you're both saying. I actually don't mind that I put some weight on because I still look the same size. I've started exercising and I'm not weighing now just focusing on measurements. To be honest I'm not in that place where I want to start counting my UPs. I know I'd do better if I did but I'm okay for now if you get me.

I eat quite well e.g. most of my high fat/cal foods are nuts or avocado. I do need more fruit and veg though.

I've been considering following SW on my UPs, I've lost 6 stone on it in the past and so I know how it works but to be fair I absolutely cannot afford to go to class and I also don't really want to get back into regular weighing again at the moment.
I figure for now even if I'm not doing everything I could then at least I'm doing something!

Hi all I have been trying to JUDDD for almost a week now and have found myself binging on up days. I have come from SW as I couldn't control myself on that anymore and needed a change. I'm finding the DD quite easy but still struggling with the days where you supposed to eat 'normally' I only really want to lose another stone or so but I am starting to get down about the fact I can't seems to do it no matter what I try which in turn leads to unhappy binging!! Just feeling a bit lost at the mo I think! Need some tough loving.

I have to count calories on an up day - once I lose the weight I probably won't as the dd will balance it out - but this phase I have to count

I also have difficulties with binge eating on up days. I have made a rule of no junk during the week - so I have one day at the weekend for treats instead of every other day.
