Intermittent fasting using WW and Exante?

Hi folks,

I've been interested in the intermittent fasting and the various health benefits associated with it (anti-inflammatory in particular as I suffer from eczema).

I tend to go a bit off piste when not on a structured program so I've decided to do alternate day fasting, with a day of Exante shakes as the lower cal day, and then a day of WW points as my 'normal day'.

So, I started with a down day last Monday and followed on every other day, and this morning at my weigh in, I'd lost 11lbs. That's only 1lb less than I lost on the first week of Lighterlife, drinking shakes only. I feel that it's a very sustainable way forward, and I'm really liking the 'I can eat tomorrow' mentality!

Has anyone else done something similar. following 2 plans (Slimming world and Cambridge etc)??

Any advice from you experienced IFers?

I started off doing Slim and Save on my fasting days and it did work well. Did it for a few weeks and then switched to other food as it's too expensive! :)

I used my S & S packs as well for the first few weeks, but I wasn't following any plan for the non fast days, i think you are extremely wise to get a plan in action for those days at the start because you can see reading through almost all of the diaries it can become a real sticky point and it's quite possible to undo a lot of the good you achieve on fast days :D Also counting cals on fast days to me is totally head wrecking and I can't be bothered with it, packs is so much easier and you know you're getting your vits and mins as well.

Thanks for the comments guys! It has just given me the confidence to know I'm not just making it up as I go along! (Well not too much anyway!)

I might add that for the WW days I'm not going low low - I've divided up my 49 weekly points and just added 7 onto my 29 daily points so I'm basically hitting 35 or 36 points on those days. It feels like a lot of food on those days anyway, which is nice!

Yep good plan with the weeklies as well, a lot of people combine juddd with SW and I never go over my daily syns allowance, no carry overs allowed, except on my day off (Friday)
